Maybe a layer of silicone inside could reduce the evaporation through the pot. It's fish safe as long as you let it dry out for about 24 hours

I can't wait for your next video. I pray you are safe with all the wildfires that we're hearing from the news, please do reply and give me any feedback on the wildfires.

I would love to do a few mini ponds with fish for my philodendrons, peace Lillies that I rooted in water and some pothos. I want to add fish but want to make sure it's self sustaining and stays clean without taking it apart. Do you have a video explaining what I need to buy to make it self sustaining for the fish and plants to survive. Is there a list of plants somewhere that oxygenate the water and keep it clean?

I love your pond build, It’s breathtaking. I have a pot that i’m just waiting to set up. I’d like to plant lotus or waterlily but the pond will be indoor, in my bedroom. I wonder what would be a good source of light for plant growth. I worry it won’t be as thriving indoors 🫠
@hotdogagua Жыл бұрын
that will probably kill it unless you figure out how to use grow lights (?)
@jonisolis964511 ай бұрын
You need to use strong grow lights close to the top of the plants in order to give them enough light and I would put the light or lights on a timer for about 10-12 hours per day.

Can guppies live off of water cabage roots and other plant matter? I can feed with flakes at times but if I go out of town I want them to be able to feed off vegetation and moquito larva.

Approximately how many litres of water does the pot hold?
@naickmercier2171 Жыл бұрын
It was very interesting , I learned a lot 👍 but I have a question : when do you change the water ? Thanks 🙏
@AquascapeArtVideos Жыл бұрын
hi Naick!! no water change here at all! simply top up now and again, this is the easiest setup i find. i think once the ecosystem is setup, everything runs on pilot 👍
@erikm8372 Жыл бұрын
If you feel like it needs it, I’d do a weekly water change of 10-50% depending on how big the bowl or tank is. That was always my “system”, doing 50% every weekend, and my tanks did great. I also had a lot of use for that water in the garden at the time… But it’s true how once the plants and bacteria get going, as long as the nutrient level isn’t overboard or there’s too much fish waste (or overstocked), you’ll be ok actually. As it evaporates, top it off with fresh dechlorinated water. Maybe once or twice a month.

❤Very nice! I didn't think about putting bettas in my pond. What size is your pot? I'm using a Whiskey barrell 48qt or 12 gallons. Trying to figure out how many fish would be good to put in it. Thanks

Do NOT put more than one Betta in a tank. They will murder each other unless you are a very experienced fish keeper and are keeping a sorority in a 40+ gallon.
