This was such a treat to watch ❤️ I could definitely relate to Alison throughout the video but definitely commend her on her patience! We often forget that basic things like measuring/leveling flour may not be as straightforward as we think to others who aren’t familiar with baking/cooking. But both Alison and Michael have such a great chemistry and hope we can see more of these videos !

When I was in culinary school, a professional baker taught us how to scoop and level flour into a meauring cup. The idea was that the flour was fluffed and not compacted. The method was to scoop the flour and then stick a butter knife in the measuring cup vertically and move it all around to decompact the flour and then to level it with the flat edge of the knife. This decompacted method is probably where the 120 grams number comes from.

I love you Allison. I am a good teacher too, when my daughter was in 6th grade she had to make a piñata she started it after school and when she woke up the next morning it was magically done- (She got a A on the project) 20 years later she still reminds me of it, not the “A” - but that I took over the project. She now lives in Belgium and I made “THE COOKIES’ on a recent visit- they were great and everyone loved them. You keep me laughing.

Lol, I can definitely relate to Allison’s “I want to teach you, I want to let you do it, but wait, let me fix this” energy!!!
