That red wine lemonade sounds like a kind of winter Sangria! Yum.

I've already had about 4 of them since filming this! It's a great cold weather drinks without being overly heavy and sugary (like hot buttered drinks or coffee drinks)

I knew I would love the Hot Amari before even watching the video. That sounds great. I super conflicted about hot cocktails. I think I don't care for them until I drink them. It's like I won't allow myself to admit I like them. hahaha!

It’s kind of hit and miss for me.. like the hot grog just didn’t do it for me because my brain kept shouting “why is this tiki drink hot??” 😂🤦♂️

Ok I think the coffee and tequila would be my first choice. Yummy. Maybe it was the whipped cream. Lol
@RobsHomeBar3 жыл бұрын
It was really good, although it needs a touch of sugar and maybe a little more booze.. I would do 1.5 oz tequila, 1 oz grand marnier and maybe 1 or 2 sugar cubes

I want all of these right now. it was -30 this morning.

Favourite hot cocktail is hot buttered rum or irish(any whisk(e)y) coffee.

These look great, sadly winters in my city are very VERY short, and not that cold, but still, why not have one of these huh 😊😉

Thank you so much for this Rob! I'm totally with Vino... as soon as I saw that Hot Amari, I knew it would be the drink for us. We've actually been having trouble getting our hands on Cynar- which is probably one of our favorite amari, but never tried Zucca Rabarbaro... gotta go find that one! It makes sense the Hot Grog didn't feel right... I guess try it as a cold grog and see what happens! Great video Rob!

Zucca is quickly becoming my fav amaro.. I has such a unique flavour! I have had about 5 hot Amari since filming this!

Rob, these Hot Cocktails for Winter all look delicious but I have to say I was in bliss mode when I saw the ingredients in the hot amari!! Oh I love these so much!! The Zucco is amazing. I'd put in a little bit of Demerara syrup in the Mexicano and bump in the booze a little but it looks so amazing and delicious!! Yumm!! Thanks Rob!! Terrific video as always!! Cheers!! :-)

Zucca is quickly becoming my favorite amaro, it's a shame it's not used in more cocktails! It has such a unique flavor! I'm curious if the Hot Amari could use a touch of lemon juice, I'm not sure, it's already really good... I might be overthinking it! lol
@christinecamley3 жыл бұрын
@@RobsHomeBar Lol! I overthink a lot of things too! I think a bit of lemon juice might be really nice! I am going to try that tonight when I make this lovely hot cocktail! Cheers Rob! :-)

I think with the Mexicano I would use overproof rum instead of tequila. I'm really not a tequila guy. Maybe add a chocolate liqueur, too, for a nice sweet touch.

Hello Rob. Personally, I like to make my hot toddy with calvados as the main alcohol. The apple flavors go really well with the other ingredients in your second recipe and I infuse a little ginger and cinnamon in the hot water for more flavor. Cheers 👍🍹
