Thanks for answering the weird questions of mine in the last episode. Can't apologize if I came across as creepy! It's already done. I saw someone commented about lucid dreams.. while you're at it, your thoughts about the Richard Linklater movie 'Waking Life'. Another request, could you please upload an episode with Naveen without editing. It's amazing...all the candid stuff you guys talk about. I am sure everyone will like it.

Hey Kenny, What do you think about casual sex ? Do you think it is liberating ? Or is it Burdening ? In my point of view, I feel that it can be as burdening as liberating it is. It’s liberating as long as both parties in it know and accept the “casual” nature of what’s gonna happen. If either party has the slightest bend towards it “meaning something”, then it’s a MAJOR burden, and it’ll bust your heart sooner than later. I would love to know what you think of it. #simpleken P.S Love the show, and love you . ♥️♥️🥺

#simpleken Hey Kenny! This is Ramya ! Here's my question: A lot of us might have come across people who say " i don't celebrate my birthday". " Birthday is just a date and you really have to celebrate or something"... Or the people who don't celebrate days like Mother's day, Father's day and simply use the phrase "* EVARY DAY IJJ MY MATHER's DAY*" i will not treat her special only on this day.. or something like that.. So my question is are these days really have to be celebrated? Or just treat them like any other day on the calendar? PS: I absolutely love what you do and how you are!❤️ Been watching your videos since 2016! Thanks for all of it!💕 #simpleken
@shaneroberttate72704 жыл бұрын
Do what you want to do, celebrate/Don't celebrate it's up to you. This is not a society norm, I'm sure your parents even yourself will love you the same no matter what. But it doesn't hurt to show some extra love to someone on a special day.
@sandhyahegde19734 жыл бұрын
@rAtnaananvcherls It's totally up to you whether you want to make your parents happy on that particular day or everyday. But it is considered more special(somehow🙄)if you greet them and stuff on that day because your parents feel special and more happy. So keep them happy everyday and especially on their special days because they are always busy worrying or caring about you. Hope you found your answer 👍
@amrutharavikumar72034 жыл бұрын
This is just my opinion and no offence, I think celebrating a birthday is something that makes sense as it is something related personally to you, wherein mother's day, and days similar to it is something that is celebrated in general. Birthday is something close to you. I think Instead of celebrating mother's day, I think if you celebrate your parents birthday or anniversary, it would be good than celebrating something that is general to everyone else. Just an opinion and the rest is upto you.

I think it's fair because we as fans expect them to be the same as we see them virtually but it's not possible, it's only one aspect of their life and they have every right to maintain their personal space. But if we meet them in a different situation or somehow they are different then it leads to great disappointment and a major setback as we admire them the most. Therefore, I think it's for the best if only meet them virtually. What is your opinion on this? (I'd love to know what you think) Thanks for reading :) Love you

Hey Kenny love the long recording of you talking. My question is- •There's something i went through personally a few months back which took a big toll on my mental health and while struggling with that, the pandemic hit. I know that no problem is small but still, i feel GUILTY about my emotions because i keep comparing it to the struggles that people are having with the pandemic. "I mean people are dying out here and im worried about my issue?" Is what i keep thinking. How can we strike a balance between giving enough attention and importance to our personal struggles, but at the same time be sane and know that this is not the biggest thing in the world right now there are a lot of people who are going through a lot worse?• #simpleken

I guess he mentioned in one of his episodes..I don't remember exactly but I believe he did...that just because u think ur problem is not big enough to be a "Problem" n there are people who are facing n dealing with bigger n realistic issue , do not make ur issue or problem a less of a problem...if u know what I mean... People, who are not rich or u can say are poor, have financial problems.. People, who are rich, face problems regarding how to manage finance.. So, u just need to know one thing that everyone is facing one problem or the other or trying to cope up with an issue... U r one of them..u have to understand that there are as many different issues n problems in life as there are different people..Just because people are going through a lot worse than you are ..doesn't make ur problem non eligible...🤷 Take an example n think about it ..Person A is suffering from brain tumor , You got a fracture in ur leg and Person C got a small cut on his hand..now can u measure the intensity of their problems??? Even if you say yes, then You can't say that person A got a brain tumor why am I so sad I just got a fracture..n what about Person C then he just got a cut on his hand.. So basically What I m trying to say is just because ur problem isn't big enough doesn't mean you need not think or worry about it... that's not possible..u can say it is impossible.. because then everyone would not think about their problems as big after thinking about that one person in the whole world who has the most problems in his life or has gone through the worst . . I hope this makes sense to you as It did to me..😊

Hi Ken, Firstly to watch you talk about the everyday things in an individual's life which you do so effortlessly is a bliss. Secondly The reason I started loving standups is because of you. The perfect amount of witty humour & intelligence says it all :)✨ Happy for you that you've come so far. My question is : We live in a country with such versatile cultures & people coming from different backgrounds. It's 2020 and some people still face this racism of caste / religion when it comes to marriage. While people date it's not an issue of whether you come from whatsoever caste or belong to xyz religion. But when it's about getting settled in life, why is that even today people do check your kundlis, caste & religion rather than getting to know how that person actually is apart from all this. Sometimes I feel it's because the particular family is orthodox & we gotta think about the family first instead of ourselves. But on the other hand I feel it's just two people getting married let them be selfish & think about themselves , it's their life. It's high time people ( individuals ) should be open minded when it comes to this. No doubt there are people happily getting married from different cultures & religions. But I believe in india it's just not about two people getting married but two families getting married. What is your take on this, you feel one should listen to that orthodox mindset , be a little selfish or people should actually leave that narrow mindset & be open. #simpleken.

Hi Kenneth, my question is : I feel like I have a lot in me that I wanna do for example I wanna do comedy, I wanna do podcast and I wanna make content for my youtube channel. It's like I have a loooooot of content in my mind, but I cannot translate it to different platforms like youtube videos or podcast. I feel it's so hard narrowing down what I actually want to do because there's so much going in my head. And because of this confusion, I cannot create and I feel all that content in my head is going to waste/or is not good enough. And that is creating a lot of anxiety in my head because there's so much I want to do and there's so less that I'm actually doing because of all this self created pressure. What are your thoughts? How do you channelise your ideas into comedy or videos or podcast? I love your work!! I love your comedy and long recordings of you talking. It's so good. It is so mindful. ❤️

Hey Kennie ♥️ It's so amazing to see you talking and making a difference. I am the kind of person who doesn't have much friends because of trust issues and have a lot of empathy in me which makes me go through stupid stuff at times. Listening to you since you've started uploading these long recordings (series) of you talking I have developed a lot of sense to get along with different people now. And I am loving this sudden shift in my mindset for a change. Thanks to you. My question is- There are times we feel like we are in love with someone and we have a path in life but then all of a sudden that love fades away and we realise it was not what we thought it was and then we reach a point in life where we are just left with ashes. At that very point we are all drained and doesn't want to invest in anything new, no more. But the lives attached to us expects more from us and can't relate to what we are suffering from. So that very moment we distance ourselves from the people who wants us to move on, more than we ourselves do. So handling that situation is no less than a disaster. How to cope up in that case? (Dealing with things inside us and the things going around us) it makes us loose it and is truly devastating. May be not an advice but you can try sharing your opinion over it. Thanks 😊

Hii Kenny, I think what you said about twitter not being the world is so true.Most of the times I go to twitter not because it makes me happy or entertained or anything but because I feel like I need to.Like I need to be aware of the reality ,need to fight off ppl spewing hate (I end up not doing it though and just scrolling over reading all those toxic things ppl write and also the ' cancel' culture).More than anger it makes me sad and hopeless.But still I keep going back to it.But then I realised something.Its okay to take a break sometimes from all this.Focus on the ppl close to you ,the ones in your real life.There are so many good ppl you know personally and many more out there.Its just that the toxic ones are loud. So just know that there are many ppl out there rooting for you silently.So stay strong, stay happy and keep your loved ones close. This too shall pass.🙂

Hey Kenny! Firstly, I love your work... There's something new & fresh in your content everytime.... So thanks for doing what you are doing... Secondly, everyone around me right now is just so ambitious & have their "goals" to achieve in their life.... They talk about goal setting, to have a "goal" in life, to reach "somewhere" in life, & keep on walking towards your "goal" even if you don't feel like to... So my question here is, that is it mandatory to have a "goal", to walk in life just to reach somewhere, can't we just roam around & enjoy the journey instead, can't we just stop for a while to think & give ourselves some space (& even if I do pause a bit, then i don't know when to start again) .......please try to answer because i tried to talk about it with some of my friends & my mentor, but now after such conversations they consider me as a dumb, aimless person who is bothered by such stupid things...... Plse tell me that is my concern even considerable or am I actually stupid for being bothered by such questions..... #simpleken

#simpleken I asked this earlier also but supposedly i think you didnt read it.....but i wanted to ask whether it is stupid of me if i want to change my decision of choosing a career in science and research to visual arts, even though i only decided to take pcmb in 11th. Does this show my indecisiveness of what i want in life. Btw love the long recording of you talking.

I wish people like you exist more in this world.. You always give happy & positive vibes..which is very rare in today's negative world. I'm off to social media because it's too fake & negative nowadays. So it's my only way to express my feelings for you.. Otherwise I don't comment on anyone's video ever. Your "long time recording of me talking" become a must in this lockdown. Such a humble & genuine person you are♥️♥️

#simpleken Hey Kenny, The intro song is extremely soothing. And love your work. I just want to know how are you able to just answer most of the questions with so much clarity? Not easy at all. Just too perfect.

#simpleken hi kenny, How to be emotionally independent and not overburden anyone with your emotional needs?
@shaneroberttate72704 жыл бұрын
You don't have to be emotionally independent if you don't want to, and you cannot overburden anyone who has experience with emotions, mental health. if you want to talk or ask for help that doesn't mean you are weak just seek someone who can actually really help you maybe a therapist. but if you feel like i don't need a therapist or a friend for my emotional needs then your problem is already solved you are emotionally independent. and if you still think that i should be emotionally independent only you can help yourself try this when you feel low just love yourself, don't overthink, think about the good stuff in life and probably meditate.

Have one person who you can share and be vulnerable. Be there for them as well. Look at your childhood and try understanding where your insecurities stem from. Look up attachment styles, they helped me so much. Also, write down what you feel, whatever comes to your mind. Be kind and patient with yourself. Take care.

#simpleken Hey Kenny, just some questions I'm curious to know 1. What is your guilty pleasure? 2. I always wondered that western names don't have meaning, but almost every Indian name has a meaning. As you have such a nice name, does it mean something and how did you get this names, is there interesting story behind it? I'd love to know the answers. :) I love the long recording of you talking! It's amazing.........

Hi Kenny, I have not been able to keep up with SimpleKen for some episodes. That is not the point of why I am putting this comment. I was pretty shocked to see what is happening on social media. I hope you are taking care of yourself. It is bad what you had and are probably going through now. Am sorry you have to go through it. I am not on Insta and Facebook messenger so thought of dropping a message here. Hoping you would read this. Take care. #insupportofyou

#simpleken Hello Kenny, loved the long recording of you talking and I felt so good after listening to your voice. Anyway I wanted to ask how do you know when you have messed up or know when something is going wrong. Example : How do you know that your set or special has gone wrong and is not up to the mark ? Lots of love from Bangalore 💕

Hey Kenny! Great episode. I wanted to ask, are there different types of depression? What I mean is, I am the kind of person who feels hopeless and completely devastated for a short amount of time and then much better in some time. There is always an underlying feeling of sadness, but for the most part, I feel normal. Whenever we learn about depression in school (i'm glad we do!), people talk about more long term depression and visible signs of it. Hope you can shed some light on this!
@shaneroberttate72704 жыл бұрын
There are so many types of depressions, then there are also mental disorders and their sub categories, in schools or in general we can't talk about every single categories, types their symptoms etc etc. that is why we talk about the extreme long term depression as a whole to prevent harm and that is why we have specialist who deal with these things like your therapist or a mental health class that can help you identify your problem. The bottom line is that people will talk only about the extreme you can't help it but if you think you need help take that help don't think that my problem is not that big of a deal, you may feel better.
