You make it possible for people like me (who dont know cad well enough) to have a much better Flight Sim Experience. They fit perfect on the free 3.5x10.15 3d printed face plates i found.

If I can give you a tip, grind the LED straight off then you no longer have selective lighting, but rather the light scatters more

Nice job, but how do you attach the button to the panel? Are you using super glue? In this case the buttons can't be easily detached when they are mechanically worn off and need to be repaired or replaced, which I'm sure is going to happen sooner or later.

Thanks! Well I have been working on newer designs :) But speaking about glue, yes I use CA glue to attach the outer shell - not much. A fair (2 tiny drops) amount that is strong enough to hold a normal operation push, but weak enough that you can easily pry it off for replacement :) Still haven't finalized the newer versions though, but I have completed the "big boys" Korry's - www.santiluib3.com/products/overhead-kory-buttons The Outer sleeves also are permanently glued to the back plate, but the inner shell can be serviced or replaced easily.

@@santiagoluib3 looking forward to seeing it in the panel! Some years back I worked on a DIY prototype of the EFIS display, but I had trouble with light bleeding between the digit segments. It's still on my bucket list to try it one more time at some point, mainly because I'm stubborn but also because I've not yet seen anyone else make small DIY 7-segment displays on the internet..

@@ExperimentalExperiments smaller 7-segments are hard to come by in my area. Also Mobiflight (at its current version) doesn't support the TM1637 chipset for those 4 digit 7seg displays which I think are the perfect ones for EFIS. So I was trying to figure out making one for myself but that would require more work. Then this display from Kav Simulations comes along. A relief!

The buttons or any other encoders will only respond when connected to the sim via a Middleware - my case is Mobiflight. In the video it was lit using direct battery connection for LED lighting demo only 😊

Another quastion if you have the time: Does all the 4 wires connect to an Arduino, and then you program it all in Mobiflight?

@@Ordinaryjoe326 Yes. 1 ground and 1 data each. You can also solder both ground wires together at or near the assembly so the whole unit only has 3 wires going to the Arduino.

Hi Sebastian, I am not sure which heigh are you referring to, I assume it's the thickness of the panel used? If so, it is 5mm. You can edit the STL file and adjust according to your panel height. And I am using DIP (through hole) resistor and LEDs :) Hope that helps.
