I heard that SM were rehearsing in the Point Depot at that time so I made the trek to Dublin when i was a kid (13 or 14 I think?) to see if I could catch a glimpse of my heroes!! I ended up meeting all the band, got a poster signed and got a pair of Mel's sticks!! One of the greatest days in my life at the time! Still like to look at the photos of that day...always bring a huge smile to my face!!

i met jim at his flat after the tour was finished.he signed my street fighting years book which i cherish to this day.

@@coletteduke6294 was not the minds fault. They could not play unless they agreed to a 10 o'clock curfew but fair play they over played till half 10. Brilliant day

i met them around about this time when they came back to they`re (& mine) hometown of toryglen to open a community cente,,was only 9 then & so wasnt overawed,i mind jim asking me about celtics new players cos i had top on,they were being filmed by bbc ozone tv prog,,id love to see it again!

@rira0007 - Hard to believe how different the ol' Point is now. I think the O2 is what the Point always should have been.
