Such an amazing song. Every instrument works so well together sonically in the mix. With that driving beat. And the changes are awesonem the song could literally go back and forth between the chorus and bridges for eternity and i wouldnt mind. Oustanding song. Sounds as good in 2023 as it did in 1982 when i first heard it when i was 6!

♡♡♡ anthem! 81! 82! 83! 84!!!! Love how this song is so anthemic and constant. Like a constant high. Roatating between the chorus and the bridge. Back and forth one ecstacy

Utter perfection! . . There's an amazing live version from their 1982 tour filmed in Newcastle . . musical ecstasy . . They really felt it when Derek Forbes left a few years later . . and the stadiums beckoned . .

I agree about Derek but utter perfection was Sons and Fascination/Sisters Feeling Call. New Gold Dream marked the beginning of the end. 😕

One of my favorites from them. Early on Simple Minds is their best stuff.

I've had that record in my collection since 81, 82, 83, 84... Joking there, but back then I liked this album more than their Breakfast Club stuff that dropped a couple years later.

Great running track, along with I Travel and Theme For Great cities.

From this album, “Colours Fly And Catherine Wheel” has a RIDICULOUS bass line. Second only perhaps to their instrumental from the album prior to this one. The instrumental is called Theme For Great Cities and the bass is phenomenal. This is a great track though. A real bright track. Made into a “rave” track in the 90s.

He did a reaction to that track u mentioned. Search for it here on youtube :)
@@rediscoveryrecords1348 to make matters worse, I commented on it a year ago too. But in my defence, a lot has happened in a year :-)
