i know we all get different ideas about songs but i always thought it was about emmigration and moving to america which was happening a lot at the time, and is now too...song always gives me great memories of when i tried to recreate the cover of new gold dream on my school sack with markers and tippex , oh those were the days

Yeah, Indeed! Someone somewhere left a comment on a different video (same song) asking what the lyrics were about. I always thought it was just a love song. But is it?..........

Thanks. We all have our own ideas about lyrics. e.g. I think the song "New gold dream" is just a love song but some people think its about a boy + girl taking drugs together.

Both Guitarists are as smart as a whip on this. Have to say you can here the full extent of the complexity and work rate of Charlie's Guitar parts on the live version. He never turns it up to 11 and usually a bit further back in the mix but here his effects and volume are spot on.
