Hello ! I’m a french learning norsk through english (why make it simple when you can make it complicated lol), thank you very much for your videos ! I’m just a little confused about one point in the video : what you called emphasis adjectives in the end of the vid is what we call « adverbes » in french, and since you put them in the video I was wondering if these adverbs are supposed to decline according to the same rules as the adjectives ? And also are they always « stuck » to the adjective after. In your example : kjempekult instead of kjempe kult
@SimpleNorwegian
@SimpleNorwegian 4 жыл бұрын
Eh yeah that’s embarrassing hehe I should have called them emphasis adverbs. Not all stick to the word, like “veldig” and also “utrolig”, you would never see those stuck to another word. They do not change when used as an adverb, but when used as adjectives then they can, for plurality “de var helt utrolige”

Tussen takk Simple Norwegian! I'm slowly catching up with your new uploads (long summers here!). While you were away I was "unfaithful" to you and tried to teach myself the possesive pronouns using other vids (sorry! won't happen again! promise!). Boy, do you (Norwegians) have a pretty complicated way to express what you own! Please keep in mind that it would be VERY useful if one of your next vids will refer to that. Either way, your vids are really helpful, to the point and well made! Keep up the good work!

from some other videos, i got some materials about getting ending with -t with neu. falsk/fersk/frisk/rask why? the above r all with -sk or r they exceptions?
@SimpleNorwegian
@SimpleNorwegian 5 жыл бұрын
Ah you’re right, it should have said -isk endings in the video. Words like praktisk, atletisk, teknisk, won’t get the -t ending. Adjectives that describe nationality, such as norsk, spansk, tysk do not get the -t ending either. Again, thanks for pointing that out! Seems your grammar is on point 👍

Another great lesson, got 1 question though. Isn't it supposed to be "hus/huser/huset/husene"? Why do you use "hus" instead of "huser" at the 4 minute mark? Thank you for replying.
@SimpleNorwegian
@SimpleNorwegian 2 жыл бұрын
It’s correct, hus. Huser is wrong. Don’t ask why, that’s just how it is 🤷‍♂️ I mean it’s related to the fact that it’s a neutral gendered noun. If the noun is not of a single syllable then you can in fact use the -er ending however, but not for the noun hus

I didn't understand "den" and "de" stands for in the exemple : den stor bilen and de stor bilen This is the hardest lesson so far
@HerpaDerf
@HerpaDerf 4 жыл бұрын
I believe “den” and “de” both mean “the” but I think you have to look at the subject to use the correct form. Use “den” when you’re talking about a specific car (bilen) and then use “de” when it’s several or plural in this case, cars (bilene).

In your example: Et fint brev - det fine brevet Fine brev - de fine brevene In the plural indefinite form, why doesn't brev change to brever? I know the different articles and how to differentiate but that one got me 😅
