Like part of me feels like maybe im creepy and like the old lady listening to the "kids music"? Thoughts/opinions on if this is acceptable or not? Wish I could be 13 again back in middle school thinking life was so hard now here I am moving into my own place tomorrow morning with so much more stress than just a girl. Man it's bitter sweet looking back into the past.

same here bro.. back when this song came out i was 13 too and i hated my life cuz i was fat and couldn't get any girls, now im fit but my health is fucked up and i suffer from gastritis and peptic ulcer disease, oh i wish i was only struggling with girls again... lol

this song did not come out in 2006. I was 16 in 2006, and i distinctly remember singing this song to my friends in middle school not high school. that opening guitar riff always gets me..

Yeah 2006 isn't the year it was released...it was released on June 3, 2003 but was actually recorded back in 2001. I, too, remember listening to it in middle school on the radio (same age as you).

It's really sad today's kids will never get to hear rock music on the radio. Even by 2002 the top 40 radio stations were pretty bare on it. Nickelback was the last band to hit number 1 with a rock song, and that was in 2001.
