It feels shitty that people don't care about a band that has a meaning so deep, not just this song but so many across so many albums. Simple Plan has had songs about every problem in life and in my teens I would listen to them at night and it would all be better. They mean so much even today. This is what music is all about. I hope they read this and know they made more difference than other so called famous singers ever will. Amen.

Brothers and sisters. I am a survivor. 2012. My son says he played this video while he worried about me surviving. I had tongue and a bit of lymph node cancer. Radiation and chemotherapy. They don`t treat so harshly now and they have scaled back.. Amen. Try to embrace those around you like there is no tomorrow because there might not be one. BUT the strong people portrayed herein are proof that we can persevere and there are others like me who want to be on the roll call when they do a remake of this video in 2029. Believe in yourself and everything will be all right! At the time my son was 17. He is my friend and my inspiration. Thank you simple plan and I hope to see you live before 2029!

SIMPLE PLAN LYRICS "Save You" Take a breath I pull myself together Just another step till I reach the door You'll never know the way it tears me up inside to see you I wish that I could tell you something To take it all away Sometimes I wish I could save you And there're so many things that I want you to know I won't give up till it's over If it takes you forever I want you to know When I hear your voice Its drowning in a whisper It's just skin and bones There's nothing left to take And no matter what I do I can't make you feel better If only I could find the answer To help me understand Sometimes I wish I could save you And there're so many things that I want you to know I wont give up till it's over If it takes you forever I want you to know That if you fall, stumble down I'll pick you up off the ground If you lose faith in you I'll give you strength to pull through Tell me you won't give up cause I'll be waiting if you fall Oh you know I'll be there for you (Ahahaha) If only I could find the answer To take it all away Sometimes i wish i could save you And there're so many things that I want you to know I wont give up till it's over If it takes you forever I want you to know (Oh) I wish I could save you I want you to know (Ohohh) I wish I could save you (oh)

Myself and my family are in this video; everyone cast in the video is someone who has cancer/has a family member with cancer! It was a really emotional day, and really long filming (especially while lying on the ground, felt like hours to me as a 11 year old) but also really cool to meet Simple Plan! My mom has had cancer since 2005 and this song is still our family's anthem for her battle

I'd say this song goes to any survivors or sufferers of any illness, terminal or not, physical or mental. The people around you will always be there for you, even if they feel powerless, that it's not in their control. Remember their presence alone means so much already. Make sure its known and know in return they'll be there for you no matter what.

Totally agree. This song literally reminds me of every single person I know that's battled/battling chronic conditions of all kinds. From different types of cancer to even depression, you name it. The thought of them going through hell on earth still with smiles on their faces keeps me going in life

After a seven year battle, I lost my father to lung cancer last year.. His struggle took its toll on, not only himself, but our entire family. Watching someone that you absolutely love, waste away from an incurable disease, is emotionally and mentally draining. He squeezed my hand when I asked him if he understood that there was nothing else they could do for him.It was heartbreaking to see him smile and me and nod his head when he knew it was over.. He was surrounded by family and friends at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK, when he took his last breath.. I never let go of his hand. I will never be the same..

It's incredible how this song can be interpreted by different pains...depression, anxiety, health problems, or even a person who has lost someone special. When I hear this song, I remember everyone around me who is suffering, some with depression, others with health problems... and this song made me realize that I would give everything so I could save them... I read the comments while listening to the song, I confess that I cried, I realized that I'm not the only one who wanted to be able to save someone, and I realized that I'm not the only one who needs to be saved 😭 I LOVE Y'ALL GUYS! 🖤🤟🎶

Although I know this song was written for someone with cancer, every time I hear it I think about my struggle with anorexia nervosa and all the wonderful women and men I met in treatment who are still very much in deeps of the illness everyday. It kills me cause, even though now I’m happily in recovery, I know what it is like to be in that hell. I see young girls who are to the point where they are just skin and bones, filled with self hate, and being controlled by the most deadly mental illness and I wish I could save them. I cry every time I hear this song but I love it cause it reminds me that I have to keep fighting. Thank you for helping to save me Simple Plan.

This song means even more to me know because it makes me think about my best friend whom I told about my struggle with eating disorders. I'm healthy now but I put her through so much when I told her everything. I ignored her many attempts to help me. She's the main reason I'm no longer "skin and bones" but I never told her how grateful I am to have her in my life. This is why that song is so powerful, not only dealing with people with a deadly disease but also their families, feeling helpless not knowing what to do to help them. We tend to underestimate their pain just because they don't have the disease. Hope you are doing well in recovery! :) xx

+Jeremy Daszkowski I'm sorry. I'm truly sorry. I know the pain of having someone you love be diagnosed - back in March last year my Dad was diagnosed with the most incurable cancer there is. I hope to whatever god there is that she makes it okay and that I see a message from you posted in a few months saying that she beat it. I had downloaded this before my dad was diagnosed and after visiting him for the first time in hospital I nearly burst into tears at how much I could relate to this song. I honestly wish I could offer more words of comfort but I can't and for that too...The best thing you can do is be positive. Never give on her because once she starts believing then all is lost. My dad came so, so close to being the first person ever to beat T-cell Lymphoma because he was so determined to beat it. Never give up hope that she will beat it because right now having you there will be better than any treatment in the world. I really hope it goes okay.

I lost my beloved grandfather during covid 19 and this song has saved me to go through the desperate phase, i go everyday to the hospital brought some food, flowers and letters for my grandpa but i wasn't there in his final moment. I wish i could save him so much. But thanks for this amazing song. It helped me so much.🤘

A few years ago I posted a comment about how the first verse reminded me of my Grandpa. He didn't have cancer but had dementia. I would always be scared that one day he'd forget me and after a while I did best to avoid visiting him tso I wouldn't have to see that day. It's been 6 months since his funeral today, I miss him so much and regret being so afaid to see him. Everytime I'd go he'd always smile and talk about school. I regret not seeing him, I really really wish I could've saved him. I'm sorry Grandpa

I lost my Grandma in 2000 to breast cancer. She was the most important person in my life when everything else was falling apart. I knew I would always be safe with her. She pasted a month before my 8th birthday. I still think of her everyday.

This was probably my favorite song from this album. In April my 3 year old son was diagnosed with brain cancer (medulloblastoma) and I always find myself listening to this song on repeat... thank you simple plan for making this song. it has so much more meaning for me now that I'm battling this with my son. 💟💟💟

People used to talk about how the singers brother was at the end, and that he was a cancer survivor, but nobody talks about that guitar player who's I'm assuming mother is also a cancer survivor. At 3:10 that's one of the guitar players with his family member. It's crazy how many people get cancer, but it's amazing how many people have survived. Hopefully one day in the future we will have found a cure that saves everyone. I mean, they've already found something that has a high chance of helping covid victims, and we haven't had covid nearly as long as cancer, so hopefully one day soon when this is all over, someone will find a cure for cancer that works for everyone.

This song totally made me cry every time i hear it. My aunt who is like my second mother have breast cancer and she's fighting that bitch hard and brave, she had her one side of the breast removed, and she's currently very stable, when she was on her chemo, she was in hell, i really wish i could help her or take away her pain from the chemo, but i can't, all i can do was sitting there and talk to her and make her meals, because my aunt lives in China, and my school in USA will start soon, so i had to go back to USA for school, it was only one month after her first chemo.
