These sinks will allow the wheel-chair user to change the water containers independently. Definitely, a confidence booster. The use of a common oil drain pan will harken back to his early days in an auto recycling yard! Woo- hoo! He says you have made an old wreck of a man happy.

That’s a cool idea, I have kind of similar to the same old set up but I have a deeper wash tub bowl and I just use enviro friendly soap and throw the water outside by the tree. Water a tree. Lots of ideas and it’s fun to come up with them.

I wish someone would take this concept and make a shower pan for a van. It would have to be way sturdier and deeper, but if it were portable, you could just empty your shower water at a convenient place--in the woods or in a restroom.

Lol! Feel free to get creative with it so it fits your needs. Use a 5 gallon jug if you have the space. Also, the faucet doesn't have to be attached to the jug. You could hide the jug in a cabinet and run the water line through the counter top or whatever. Have fun! PS. There are constantly small tables like yours on the street. Free! Just clean and modify as needed. I try to repurpose, reuse, or recycle almost everything. I recommend you mount the fire extinguisher is an easier to access place. Mine is mounted within reaching distance behind the driver’s seat.

I don't think I like complicated stuff. My first sink was a regular dishpan but I cut a hole in the bottom and attached a drain. But then I added Wi-Fi so the sink could wirelessly connect to the hotspot in my car so I could turn it on and off with my phone. But that was before I programmed the sink with artificial intelligence so it would know when to turn itself on and off. But then the sink became self aware and hacked into a U.S. military computer. I tried to pull the plug but it didn't end well. OK, maybe you're right. Some things should just be kept simple.

I watched this video at least five times I bought the parts you suggested the very first time I watched it but I never actually figured out a way to put it together in my van but I finally did figure it out I bought these collapsible totes with a removable wooden lids and I plan on setting the sink up on those as a platform... You still have the sink that cannot be beat and the van that cannot be competed with and a sense of humor that cannot be compared!!!💯

Thanks for the tip! My electrical is quite basic. The toaster, TV and laptop run off the Jackery. The fridge runs off the car battery and this works for two or three days depending on the weather.

I've got 2 old camper trailer that I'm going to take both of the sink builds out of both parts campers and installing them inside both van. but I've got to buy the water tanks and the gray water tanks.

I do NOT recommend using an oil can to store any clean water. Please use only food grade containers. Some plastic materials off-gas poisonous chemicals known to cause cancer. Even the hose you connect to the faucet should specifically say food grade on the lable, like the kind used for ice machines and refrigerators.
