Great idea ! I unwittingly bought a Dodge Gr Caravan with sliding doors that have fixed (non-opening) windows. I travel solo, and I need a solution to exhaust the heat, other than running my AC nonstop. I talked to an RV dealer about installing a roof top vent with a fan, but the cost is prohibitive. I'd thought about a removeable fan for the front passenger window with an alternate battery, but the curve of the window poses a problem for a frame. I can cover the windows to reduce the heat coming in, but I really need a way to exhaust the hot air from the vehicle to make it more comfortable. I'd love to hear any ideas you have, or from your readers. Thank you ! 😓 😰 😅

Perhaps there is a connector/adapter extender so there is no struggle with the original connector for future headlight replacements? Going to look around and see if this exists.

I've got that connection on my battery terminal, BUT i don't have the START/STOP function. I do NOT recommend to disconnect it

how did you make the sink-how did you fit the sink in???????? What supplies did you use? It's not easy for someone who has never done it before. I looked up simple diy instructions for a sink in a car and got your video as a choice... Help thank

It's only a matter of time when a gazillion $ class action lawsuit will be filed proving with a dashcam vid, that the car did not respond in time i.e. there was a delay: and a massive accident happened. Of course, ALL car companies will be named in the lawsuit for this dangerous (and expensive - in the long run) feature.

The van has a remote start feature, so you can start the motor without even being inside the vehicle, but once your inside driving, have the van use a program to shut off at a stop sign? DUMB!

I was just having this conversation with a dealer who said you cannot deactivate it. I’m looking at buying a new Lexus RX350. I hate this feature and a friend has gone through batteries because of it.

That depends. Are these powered seats? If so, there's a couple things you could try. First make sure nothing is blocking the foot flap that pops out automatically in chair mode. This could be things like carpets or rubber floor mats. If that's clear then try holding the Stow button for a few extra seconds before trying the Normal button. That usually works for me. I think that helps it to finish cycling through the modes or something. If your seat isn't even trying to unfold and is making no noise at all, it could be unplugged. Check the connection. This is not likely to be the cause if you've never removed the seat. And you may as well check the fuses while your at it but I'm not hopeful about that either if the other seat still works. If none of that helps, you can actually manually unflold the seat. Just grab it and pull it open. It'll take a little muscle but it will slowly open. That's all I can think of for now.

The start stop feature will diminish your starter life of your engine by years. The starters have a certain amount of starts which they can ensure.

You should believe them when they recommend using PLASTIC pry tools.A complete set to take any panel off at Harbor Freight is about 10 bucks. I helped a friend install the same device in his 2022 Ford F150 Lariat. It included having to take the same dash parts off and his console apart.

I just googled Toyota Ago and I think you might have meant Aygo. But I've never heard of Aygo either. They don't sell those in the US. I wish I could help.🤔

2% fuel economy if you are lucky and for that your battery, starter motor and engine are trashed. Doesn't sound that good to me.

Agreed. I honestly doubt theres is any fuel savings at all for the average individual driver. I think it just a numbers trick the auto manufactures are using to pretend to comply with current fuel standards.

Unfortunately, Chevys were the first to exclude and off button. You might look into a product called Auto Stop Eliminator and see if they make one for your car. They're not cheap but they're worth it. (Not affiliated)

The Feds decided it would save fuel by installing these stupid systems. Did they think about the vast amounts of energy that would be used to build and maintain these systems. In Jeeps there is a complete extra battery just to power these systems. How much energy does it take to build and deliver Thousands and thousands of batteries just for a device that is supposed to save gas. Then when these systems fail more cars are driving back and forth to the dealers, using significant amounts of fuel, to fix a device that was intended to save fuel. I'm sorry this system uses more fuel than it saves, in the long run. Save an ounce at the stop light, then millions of gallons, building, delivering and maintaining these things, STUPID!

Just make it a habit to press the auto start button every time you start your car , you don’t know what problem’s you are going to have down the road with your car computer by disabling the wire going to the computer.

That's not quite all the way true. There must also be exteme temps outside for that to work. If its in the 70s and you have the AC on, the car will still shut off. Same with cold weather. I guess they figure you won't mind suffering a little. Lol.

@@EricMartinSmithOfficial I wouldn't expect it would. Not sure where you live but much of the US has been under a heat advisery for about 3 weeks. That said, I must also concede the possibility that not all Start/Stop systems are programed exactly the same. It's totally possible your Equinox does not shut off with the AC on in which case, I would just never turn it off.😄
