As the rear axle compresses/moves up, the DS lengthens(because the leaf springs flatten, pulling the axle rearwards). As the axles decompresses/hangs, the DS shortens. Either way, that 5/8" looks good. Btw was actually the clearest explanation for me anyway on the subject of checking/measuring DS length & where to cut. Thanks.

Ok so I've had this kit for a couple of years but have not installed it yet because I am not sure whether the front drive shaft that I have is worth installing in the rear as the stock rear drive shaft looks waaaaaay beefier than the front drive shaft. thoughts??

@@ricardolevy885 I thought the same thing but I have had no problems so far. I have done some light trail riding with it and building confidence every day. I am about to install a locker in the rear axle and do some moderate trails. So far with daily driving and light trails it is just fine.
