Don’t you have a 3 way valve before your SH side of your metering system? When I flip to rinse I always have the sh and water wide open and soap off but water is running through the sh side thay way it rinses out that valve and check valve with the pump.
@TheFreshRinse Жыл бұрын
I may be confused about what you are saying. My apologies if so. What about the SH in the line?
@softwashscience Жыл бұрын
@@TheFreshRinse so before the proportioner you have a 3 way valve one side is water. The other side is SH and then obviously there’s just a single line that comes off of that and that single line goes into the import of the SH side of the proportioner. Do you set up some kind of barrier at the end of the driveway to reclaim the water instead of letting it go down storm drains, or just let it go down? Josh, I was the same way, I was really bad until I incorporated two things, pre-planning and a check list. Before the job I already know (generally) how I'm going to execute. Then with either mental or physical checklists (dry erase checklist) I check off every task. If I don't do this, I'm very inconsistent. When put into action, my variation is minimal, my labor efficiency goes way up, and I actually remember to get those "after" photos before leaving...lol. Personally, I've found that using a checklist as a poka-yoke or mistake proofing tool improves my processes/operations.

You said in the video you were using a 1.8 injector with your 8 gpm. Do you notice a big drop in pressure when you are in "soap" mode? When I use a 1.8 injector and my 8 gpm it is a huge difference in pressure when my Flowpro is in "soap" mode.
@taddmcmichael9061 Жыл бұрын
Yes that is going to be the logical result since your 8gpm is now being pushed through a smaller orifice (smaller than rated for the machine). You are losing flow and your unloader is dumping more back into your tank. You will lose distance at the gun but it is the soaping phase so the pressure aspect isn't as crucial.

Since everyone is asking questions, 😁 why and what is the difference between single wire and double wire. I use double due to me using it for other applications where as I require durability from my hose for high pressure. But I tell you what, it’s hard, stiff and awkward to manoeuvre around for washing. I think I need to invest in a softer hose to be more efficient.
@TheFreshRinse Жыл бұрын
Great question. Of course, it’s exactly what you think it is. Single is nearly half the weight, twice as flexible, half the price… but doesn’t last nearly as long. In my book, the trade-off is worth it. Single wire for me.
@warriorofgodfitness488 Жыл бұрын
I know this sounds crazy, but I would like to see a video of you having a downstream injector and an xjet hooked up at the same time drawing at the same time and see how much chemical you pull. Say you’re using an xjet on a roof but need a hotter mix or whatever the case may be can you while still using the xjet also pull chem with the downstream and get a hot mix that would normally take investing in a softwash and batch mixing.
@TheFreshRinse Жыл бұрын
I’d love to help, but I’ve never owned an X-Jet.
@josephmollohan8907 Жыл бұрын
The X jet will not have enough back pressure to allow the downstream injector to engage
@tylerbredice1858 Жыл бұрын
@@josephmollohan8907Correct. But you can fill your hose with chem and once your hose is full of chem you can hook up your xjet to combine strengths but once you run out of chemical in your hose you will just be pulling from the xjet and you will need to restart.
@warriorofgodfitness488 Жыл бұрын
I may be not understanding something but the tips that allow the chemical injector to work are the ones with less pressure. When using a more restrictive tip with more back pressure it stops drawing so wouldn’t the xjet allow it to draw? Or could I possibly use a different tip? Or what about 2 chemical injector linked? I only have the chemical injector that came with my pump and no xjet. I just thought it seemed like a fun idea and cool video that’d get lots of views to see if we can draw chemical from 2 chemical injections or xjet.
@ryanwaterbury2331 Жыл бұрын
I use an xjet nozzle and pulls chem from my DS injector all the time. I've never tried xjet with the hose and DS injector at the same time though. I rarely use the xjet hose and bucket, mostly bought it as an option to apply degreaser for restaurants I use but I just DS everything using the same nozzle and works great. @@josephmollohan8907
