@@lindyloohoothey’re extremely frustrating at first. especially if you are uncomfortable with touching your eye. but once you get the hang of it (which i promise you will get to the point where you don’t even need a mirror) it is so worth it! i find them to be more convenient than glasses and my vision to be better and more ‘accurate’. as long as you take good care of them by handling them very carefully, checking for rips, changing them as often as told, changing the lens solution water daily, changing or cleaning out the contacts case regularly, and washing hands before handling them, they’re worth it. it just may not seem like it at first but if you can be patient with yourself and handle them properly and you’ll be just fine. i recommend keeping your current glasses as well or getting glasses if you don’t already have them. this way you have backup vision incase you’re unable to wear your contacts. it’s perfect for when you take them out during your night routine and you can just wear your glasses around and take em off whenever you want to sleep or watch tv in your bed and not have to get up to take your contacts out.

probably not the best idea, but I just randomly bought non/prescription coloured contacts online before actually going to the opticians for them (I knew I'm a very....weirdly sensitive bundle of nerves, so I figured I'd need practice in case I had to try in-store + I wanted different colours/designs) I bought reusable ones, (and so also needlessly bought lens cleaner and solution), along with an applicator set thing (which I still can't seem to figure out, and gives me like 10 times more anxiety than just my clumsy fingers) and I feel like it took me hours staring into a mirror before I could finally get both sides in I used to be able to randomly touch my eye ball (idk, I was weird and stubborn and...just strange), but it just doesn't stay in my eyes easily 😭 (taking them out is way easier imo, but, occasionally, my forgetful mind is like, "are you sure you haven't taken it out already?......so are you sure it's still there??" and then I start panicking a little, trying to remember if I'm just randomly pinching my eye - I am also the type of person who will, occasionally, randomly forget that they don't/have glasses on... • - •) · · · and also randomly try to put on glasses with prescription contacts still in🙃。) rn, I think max, if I'm especially unmotivated and tired, is like 10-20 mins, so that's an improvement 👍✨ I've tried different brands, and although more expensive, I feel like the Japanese brands from Donki/Matsukiyo just feel more comfortable, and so they're easier to put in but I think the Korean brands also seem to be popular, I thought Bausch + Lomb was Korean because someone said that to me (may because they were just Korean imports to HK??), but - from forgetting the name and slowly searching on Google - apparently they're a US brand - I mean, from what I remember they're fine, but trying other brands, almost back-to-back, they weren't as comfortable for me like pretty much everything, it's mostly just a trial and error thing; sorry for rambling and hope I didn't wander too far and it's still coherent 😅

it just takes time, practice, and patience just like with anything else. i did a lot of crying out of frustration but i eventually learned to easily get them in and out in one try. without a mirror. and i’m telling you, if i can do it, you can do it. but remember the main key is PATIENCE. because i won’t lie, it’s not easy at first

Tried it but mine don't pop out :/ 😂 They dont pop out randomly anyway and I leave them in till I figure it's time to swap for a new pair. (Yes I know) ... I find it's easiest to pinch at the bottom of the contact with dry index and middle finger. If your fingers are dry you get traction :)
