Rope management Lesson 1: Ask any climber how to coil the ropes! Petzl has a few well illustrated videos out there. For longer lengths you can do it over your neck, and you will not need to support the weight of the rope as you coil it with your hand. You are basically folding the rope over and over vs putting kinks on it as result of coiling. Great video for those not familiar with climbing techniques!
@freedb14913 жыл бұрын
no need for climbing techniques as were spearfishing ; )

I use the criss cross method, but put three half hitches at both ends and leave about 2-3 metres of line to the gun so when I jump in the water I can shoot straight away should there be a pelagic close. This way if spearing near rocks in swell, I can adjust the length of the rig cord to whatever length I want to keep the float closer while I am in the water without needing to detach the gun or float to do so. Not all guns have a good holding point for the line to wrap in Daniel's second example. I can use the half hitch method to wrap my rig line before I get picked up by the boat without using the gun. Its then instantly ready to go next dive.
