Right in line with the fabulous Creek Fishing Adventures we've come to know and love. Those Oscars were feisty for sure. Hate to break it to you but I've seen a gator around Florida that size and he wasn't my little gator buddy 😅😅. And my wife bought me the same fine CFA hat you were wearing just in time for Christmas. Blessings in 2025 brother

I fished some canal/creeks south of Miami back in the early 1970s. Lots of cichlids that wouldn't hit anything. Saw some large snook, but they wouldn't hit anything either. The gator population hadn't increased yet. We caught a mangrove snapper and grunt here and there. No LM bass.

When fishing have you ever taken your jigs and rub them against the fish that you've caught? It helps turning your lures into something more natural tasting and they hold on to it.

My Parents used to live in Florida and I would visit every year but never did much fishing... Here and there for a little bit. It wasn't until the last visit a few years back that I actually went out looking for any of the non-native species. I saw a few Peacocks but couldn't catch any. I don't like being that close to the gators! I would definitely want something on my hip, just in case.
