I finally tried this carrot hot dog recipe last night. I was surprised at how the texture resembled a hot dog. It still tastes like a carrot but I like carrots :). I ate it in Udi gluten-free buns with some mustard, Sir Kensington's special sauce and sweet relish (I needed a little sweet) - Delicious. This is my new go-to for when I am craving hot dogs.

I recently started using these recipes to cook over to my older sister's place and cook for her cuz she has some type of stomach condition where she can't eat certain foods, especially dairy and fatty meats. She doesn't have time to cook bigger meals with her job being busy, so sometimes I stop by and use these recipes to make her something quick but nice, and we usually watch a movie together while we eat.

You should, I’ve been 10 months vegan. It’s hard when u first start, but u have to slowly ease into it. They have alternatives for just about everything, and I always tell ppl it’s all about how u season. Meat would be bland if it wasn’t seasoned, or just about anything else. Plus, there’s a lot of things ppl eat that’s vegan that they don’t know about.

Oooh now that is what we call vegan comfort food! Best stuff ever, when I went vegan I never gave up my love for cheese, I just veganized it. Love this lady and her videos, she shows how good vegan food is. No, we vegans aren’t about fries and garden salads, trust me, that is just what meat eaters think. Vegan food is super delicious if you know what you’re doing and you have the correct ingredients. Never skip out on that nutritional yeast guys, it is an essential ingredient to mimic cheese!

So I was able to do vegan for 1 month. I lost 5 pounds and I really had a lot a energy. Week 2 my headaches started to go away. It was hard not including dairy . That was the hardest but unfortunately I can’t stay with it. I am anemic and have low iron and my doctor tells me I have to have a red meat in my diet. I still eat a lot of fruit and veggies but I have found a balance with my proteins. I still do alot of fish and chicken and Turkey. And something that I find works I stay away from all processed meats . It cost a bit more but it works for me. I still have a hard time adjusting to the taste of grass fed beef. It just taste something extra. Maybe it’s me.
