It'll work for bass too. I remember Richard saying if it's pressured water down sizing catches big fish. I've caught descent smallies on a splitshot and a fly 8 inches above the fly I put the splitshot.
@joegrande48482 ай бұрын
I've used a fly and trophy bass by procure. I put a splitshot 8 inches above the fly and let it slow fall. As soon as it settled, I pop rod tip slightly to dart the fly smallies crush it. I put trophy bass on by procure on the fly. Trophy bass by procure works great in dark, dingy water. I generally use natural colored lures and soft plastics. I use white in dark water with trophy bass by procure. Works like a charm. Fish will smell and see white soft plastics with white lures in dark water or stained water the best. 😊

Mr Gene I admire your ethics when it comes to fishing. I like the way when you fish around peoples docks that you always “let em go” I think that I have noticed that you only keep fish when you are out in the lake. I live on a lake in central Arkansas that currently drained and being renovated. I have witnessed people that pretty much camp out for days on end if your dock holds fish. They are relentless and disgusting. You are truly the fishing machine

Those little balls on the end of the tail have 2 jobs. They make that wiggle that fish can't stand and they also make a little thump vibration every time that ball whips out straight. Not enough to feel probably but the fish can hear it and feel it, too. Richard, the adrilogen you just have to run with it, Richard. Run with it! (My best to Mama Sue.)

love your channel. reminds me of how I learned from my grandfather growing up. I live in south Central Pennsylvania and have a newly restore dam with a handicapped boat laundry/dock. the water is between 4 and 10 feet where I can access it. its full of submerged bushes mountain Laurel mostly, they didn't clear anything before they filled it. I can catch the bass bluegill and bullheads but struggle with the crappie. one or two each summer. what would you suggest that could catch them more consistently and yet not lose a ton of hooks?
@joegrande48482 ай бұрын

For sure, catfish too. I was fishing at the pond the other day and was using a berkley 2" power swimmer on a 1/16 jighead and a little bluegill was following my bait when I was about to reel up and a monster 9+ lb bass comes out of nowhere and inhales the bluegill

Get jig heads with wire keeper or just slide back up. Or use tube head jigs with durable tubes and a loop knot. Swims horizontal through the water like a minnow
