You make it look so easy. Doe some reason I get really stressed trying to do this as they tend to break apart and are so delicate and I find when you dig the soil to make a hole all the other soil falls in around it. Ugh. I guess it’s just practice?

I have cool story to tell: When my family moved into our new house there was 1 or 2 dying haworthia zebra, my mum helped them out and gave them all the nutrients they needed and ended up propagating them into a huge pot of JUST them. We have at least 30 haworthia zebras. By the way, does the one in the video have normal sized roots? The ones on ours have roots twice the length of their plant body. 0:36

Is soil for succulents and soil for cactus the same? Do all pot have to have hold?
@SucculentsBox4 жыл бұрын
yes, they are the same. You can start by buying cactus and succulent soil mix that is readily available at your local garden centers. Then you can add some type of soil conditioner into the mix (such as perlite or pumice) to loosen the density of the soil, leaving the soil mix more porous and improving the drainage. You can also create your own potting mix for succulents by mixing an organic substance (e.g., peat moss, coir, compost) with an inorganic matter (e.g., perlite, pumice, chicken grit, crushed granite). Whatever pot materials you decide to go with, it’s most important that your pot has a drainage hole at the bottom to eliminate excess water out of the soil. This drainage hole also helps with the oxygen circulation inside the soil, allowing it to dry faster, and promotes root health. :)

Hi, thanks for sharing & looks simple, do we need to water them after the arrangement?
@SucculentsBox2 жыл бұрын
Yess sure, succulents should be watered only when the soil has dried out completely. There is no universal watering schedule that works for every succulent in every climate. Many indoor succulent growers find that watering 14-21 days is a good frequency to keep their succulents alive.

How do you water these?
@SucculentsBox2 жыл бұрын
You can water them by soaking the soil directly until it runs out of the drainage holes. In case you only need to water 1 or 2 succulents on your arrangement, or it's too full, you can use a spray bottle. You can also use the spray bottle in watering your succulents with stream setting (do NOT mist) or bottom-water them. You can check out our blog for more info about caring for succulent arrangements here: succulentsbox.com/blogs/blog/how-to-care-for-succulent-arrangement 💚

@SucculentsBox4 жыл бұрын

If you don’t want drainage holes like if your making an indoor pot and you don’t want water draining out some pots are like if you put a cup with holes inside another cup with no holes, just with more space in between the cups, you just take out the cup with the holes and succulents and dump out the water collecting in the bottom cup
