I installed the AlphaOne amp and speakers in my 23 x5. Everything was plug and play and fairly easy to do. The software to create sounds profiles was a bit of a learning curve but it sounds really really good, definitely worth it.

Im glad someone installed this amp without changing speakers first. My HK sound sytem doesnt sound bad, just under powered.

The only issue with this system in my X5 is that it sounds really good upfront but in the back it’s almost nonexistent and the speaker is in the back. Yes, I looked at the settings and made sure that the balance wasn’t all the way up front. Would this amp solve that issue? Also, it’s not the HK, but it sounds good, not intense but good.

Why just the amp and not the speakers as well? Wouldn’t the Alpha one sub and speakers make much more difference?

Well yes, but it’s expensive to replace both at the same time. I wanted to see what difference just the amp would make and then if it wasn’t enough, I’d do the speakers as well. I’ve been very happy with the amp only upgrade for now and won’t be putting in the speakers unless I get bored of current set up.

Just do the amp and change the under seat subs. My advice is 2ohm musway subs. The HK mids are decent enough and the tweeters. Only change the mids and tweeters if you find it a bit too bright. But then only do the door speakers. Pointless doing the surrounds.

It’s for reconfiguring the unit. So you can connect it to a laptop and change the profiles, presents and basically anything you’d ever want to.

It's made by audiotec fischer. It's just rebranded and sold for a profit. Go to audiotec fischer and put your car and model in and it will tell you everything you need

Yes, it would. You’ll get a different harness and bracket though.

You have it with just the stock speakers right? Can they handle the power?

Yes, I have it with stock speakers. They handle the power just fine as there are MANY of them in the car and the load is split among them. It’s not AS good as in my Z4 with the upgraded speakers, but much better than stock Amp

Your car def has ASD. You need to code it off with bimmercode or your fake engine noise will be annoying through the new amp. It will muddy the bass.

I am trying to look at options of getting an amp too for the F97 … Is this worth it as an upgrade to get better sound …. Was thinking of getting the Match 10 UP amp

I thought it was definitely worth it. I first did it in my Z4 and it made a HUGE difference. So, when I got the family car, I wanted better sound as well. It adds lots of volume and bass and depth to the sound.
