It is intriguing how almost every war is associated with a particular image or object that is the first thing which springs to our head when we mention it. For example, for Vietnam it could be helicopters with door gunners, for World War 2 it could be the Soviet flag over the Reichstag etc. For the war in Ukraine it could be a Javelin hitting a Russian tank.

WW2 I think of D-Day, all the Pacific landings against Japan, the numerous operations over the English channel, and the first-ever jets developed by multiple different nations. Vietnam I think of fire, agent orange, the Ho Chi Minh trail being slammed by 300 tons of HE over a week, early jet-era combat, American people coming to unison regarding ending the war, and M16s. Ukraine I think of sounds of incoming and outgoing artillery, convoys being decimated, civilian structures heavily attacked, Drones, major morale on the Ukrainian side, and lack of morale on the Russian side.

I loved my Mosin Nagant. Got it way back when big 5 had them for under $200. You could get lucky and find one with the hex receiver for the same price which was a good deal since those are rarer than the rounded receiver. The 7.62×54R round packs a punch too and will get the job done without a doubt. I should have bought a boat load of them seeing how they're going from $400 to $1000 depending on quality and if all the parts have matching numbers. A fun gun and it's pretty sweet knowing it may have served in WW2, Korea, or even Vietnam.

there is an existing incomplete airframe for the AN225. it was never completed in the fall of the USSR and only one AN225 was feasible to run. some say that airframe will be completed to replace the destroyed one

0:20 Technically he did not declare war on Ukraine and neither has Ukraine declared war against Russia. For Russia it is "special military operation". Meanwhile for Ukraine it is "counter-terrorist operation", as Ukraine declared only Russia as a terrorist state. Formally Ukraine has not attacked Russian territory, besides some spillovers.
@ZamPolit07 Жыл бұрын
This АТО According to Ukrainian politicians. I still remember how civilians were shot at this Anti-Terroristic Operation and residential buildings were shelled. And the worst thing is that in Mariupol the majority were destroyed at the same time by artillery fire and battles with soldiers and members of the Territorial Defense who had settled there

I'm so happy you examined and explained why the loss of the AN-225 was so devastating and unnecessary. It made me feel sick when I heard about it. I couldn't believe anyone would actually hit it with any weapon never mind on purpose. Such a waste. It was a very good way to show the complete and utter lack of foresight the Russians had during the opening days of the invasion. It's still hard to comprehend that anyone would order people to light it up. Not diminishing the death and destruction they caused as well just saying it shows just how little they cared about the world. That plane was everyone's pride. So sad.
