@FatalPies I feel like it'd be hard to react to a crocodile trying to eat you
@alexniemy73462 жыл бұрын
@FatalPies The skin of those crocs are crazy thick and they could withstand some shots. Moreover, the Japanese troops wouldn’t be able to see them as they were under the water and even if they knew the location, the water would significantly slow down the bullet. Most of the soldiers were fatigued and had malfunctioning weapons and couldn’t fend off the crocs.
@tacomyloh97992 жыл бұрын
@@alexniemy7346 Also, crocodiles camouflage really well, and I feel that it’s the huge old crocs that have thick hides that targeted the soldiers, so the damage that the bullets would do is quite limited, however, I’m in no way a biologist so take my words with a grain of salt
@S0ulinth3machin32 жыл бұрын
@FatalPies bullets don't travel very far through water. Only a couple of feet. To a croc, the bullet is probably not lethal if the croc is more than a foot under water, the bullet will have lost too much velocity.

This is such a good idea for a horror/Thriller movie. It'll start with the allied attack on Remree Island with an opening gunfire scene. A young Indian captain is tasked with dislodging the Japanese forces occupying the area. After that it'll move to the escape of the Japanese soldiers through the swamp with all the snakes and insects. It'll then show the bloodthirsty crocodiles and the fatigue and starvation the soldiers faced and how they couldn't fight the reptiles off. It'll be filled with much gore and blood. There'll be scenes where the crocodiles will come into camps and drag off soldiers one by one. There'll be an antagonist large "Alpha" crocodile that'll be resistant to any weapons the soldiers use. This crocodile will be the main villain. Then the final scene will show the last and final escape of the lucky soldiers. On the speeding escape boat, one of the soldiers will look back on the horror they witnessed at Remree, citing that the terror of war is not always about the bullets or barb wires. But something even worse.

Even down here in the south me and an American I knew were in a giant aquarium place (government owned). They had a display with an ACTUAL aluminum boat with the teeth marks and all in it. The American thought it was a prop, but the wear on the floor was obvious it had been used for at least 15 years. He fought at Ramree against the Japanese, went into the war as an 18 year old in 1944, he was only 120 pounds. He fought alongside many Americans and gurkhas, and mentioned how his friends on landships were blown up in front of him as they stormed the island in 1945, mostly from sea mines. I remember him talking about how his unit was without air support and contact for 3 days until he finally got in contact. He passed away in Sep 2018, and I miss him so much. He told me he wanted to give his medals to me after he passed, to which they are here right beside me, alongside some bullet shells he kept from Ramree and the Burma campaign. Miss you granddad x

Whats eerie is that you can propably still find remnants of the dead soldiers in the swamps to this day, personal belongings of metal and other items the crocs either shat out or missed..
@OffGridInvestor3 жыл бұрын
Still find them in the 2 countries just above Australia. There were crates of UNUSED Japanese rifles that were air dropped that never got opened in one area. They were used in a conflict in 1998. Completely serious. There's still live bombs just under the ground by an inch that go off when villagers light a campfire over the top of them (unknowingly) and they go off and kill people TODAY. One of the guys from a charity to disarm then was digging them up to defuse them and got blown up last year.
