Ok, lets also not forget how the Wehrmacht carried flags with swastikas on them and swore oaths to Hitler, does that make them Nazis too? Both armies mass conscripted their men, of which many of them didn't follow the ideals of their government, but rather fought for one side in order to die as heroes for their land.

You're right, after the communistic government uses the military to gain a bunch of ground, sure the government will initiate some communist rule, but he wasn't directly referring to that, otherwise his comment would have made much sense.

BJJMTF - How are you getting to this conclusion? When he was fighting in Finland he fought for Finland against an invading force. Then again he fought to repel the same forces out of the annexed zones. The enemy was Russia, that also happened to be a communist state.. Finland had to prison many people to appease Soviet Union. Finns didn't do it, because they wanted to. Finland even had to sentence their own president Risto Ryti into prison for 10 years. Well.. Another Finland's president Paasikivi released Ryti and others like him including Lauri Törni after 3 years. Soviet Union didn't like it at all, but Paasikivi didn't care. :D
