In 1979 I was living in Florida and starting a collection of "New Wave" albums. I was in the record store and I saw an interesting album cover but I never bought it. I didn't realize it was Simple Minds first lp, "Life In a Day." Years later I was in the Air Force in Monterey, CA and "Someone Somewhere in Summertime" was on the radio which was the first time I ever heard of Simple Minds. I picked up "New Gold Dream" on cassette. A couple of years later I was in Greece and eventually I had all of the Simple Minds lps I could get my hands on and got a cassette of "Life In a Day" and laughed when I saw that cover which I had seen way back before I joined the Air Force. I gave all of my vinyl to my nieces and nephews so now they are enjoying the great music I listened to including all of my Minds lps. Oh and when "The Breakfast Club" came out over there at the base theater I was truly in heaven. MY band's music was playing! That song also filled the dance floors in the Greek discos. Like nobody on the dance floor and that first drum beat hit and they just swarmed onto it! lol

Lucas Lima , I think Simple Minds lost their way from 1985 ( OUAT) to 2002. Cry was a decent album but Black and White from 2005 was the beginning of the rebirth.

Amazing single from the very underrated album and sadly not released album in the U.S "Black and White 050505 (2005). Great rock song!!!, i confess that this song wasn't one of my favourites from this album, but this song grow a lot on me after many listenings, great solo from Charlie Burchill, great chorus, verses & instrumental.
