It's just that bad music get more attention nowadays not just because of large fanbase, but because of the endless people coming to their vids/songs and hating on them, new trends, social media, etc. Just like how good music gets more attention back then, and there were less popular bad ones.

Simple Plan videos are a whole mood that I have not experienced since I was 13. I remember my mom being furious at me for using up all the printer ink on photos of the guys and their bios from their website. Listened to the debut album for the first time in years recently and it is way heavier than I realized before. Still bummed I couldn’t go to the anniversary tour in 2017 cuz I was in class the next morning for my Recovery Support Specialist training. But my 31st birthday is on the 29th of this month, which means I owe David a happy birthday since we are birthday buddies! Oh, and uhhh Jeff? The 22nd? Or is that Seb? I retain no knowledge of Freshman algebra, but I can back track into my post pubescent memories enough to tell you that Jeff likes sour peaches and David pees in showers... Chuck told me on MySpace he liked my tattoos and my cats, and I dunno how I don’t remember more about Mr. Bouvier since we were supposed to be married by now 🤷🏽‍♀️ If I don’t discontinue my KZbin rabbit hole nostalgia, I will be sorely lacking in attentiveness for my clients at work.
