I knew from early interrogation scenes that the guy they had was guilty as sin but what made me hate this villain was his hesitation to save his daughter. It took more pushing from Morgan than it should have. What a scumbag.

I think like Hotch said, he wasn’t hesitating - he was protecting himself. The minute he said anything he was guilty. I think the moment he realized his partner broke the deal his cold facade dropped. He’s a psychopath and I hate him too.

He was left in a basket on the steps of the FBI lol! 😂 I love that line; it gets me every time!!!

This episode is so sad to me, cause the way one’s life can be completely destroyed by the actions of their parents

This episode is still one of the most nauseating for me, for obvious reasons. It’s interesting how we as the audience were shown the culprit (at least half of them) from the jump, and gradually saw everything fall into place. Way I look at it, it’s like one of the previous episodes this season with Prentiss & Reid, where we saw the reporter documenting the explosion at the start, and then the episode detailed how we got to said explosion. It’s an interesting way to tell these narratives.

Sometimes, its so weird to see that serial killers "love" their daughter while killing girls who is at same age as her ughhh but we also see serial killers who also dont give a sht to their family in any way so in anyway ughhhh it is terrible.

Michael Boatman and George Newbern nailed the Creep Factor in this episode, I feel for the wife and daughter hell both families destroyed and left to deal with the fallout.

Not a surprise from George. Guy voiced both Superman AND Sephiroth.

when i first watched this i thought he was innocent and that this would serve as an example of what happens when you accuse the wrong guy and that the FBI doesn't always win

Same. The one episode I can think of, where I fell for the episode's attempted subversion, lol. Like you, I thought the subversion would be their confidence that he was the one who did it and it'd turn out he really was telling the truth.

This kind of episode would be interesting to watch too, profile/fbi/police isnt always right, (most of the time, they arent) and people make mistakes.

if you don't mind me asking, at what point did you change your mind and start thinking that he was actually guilty?

@@Bubaiel I think it Would have to be when he took his daughter. I feel silly now looking back. It was sort of obvious. The chat, The overconfidence, The possibility that he got away with it the first time.

The partner was George newburn. Dude voiced Superman in a LOT of animated films and in Injustice 2. He also voiced Sephiroth in a bunch of stuff.

Top 10 episode...I completely forgot this was a Criminal Minds episode. I wonder if he was going to assault the daughter or he just trying again to make the arrested father look innocent. I think the latter, but the arrested father couldn't trust that. They each knew how sick the other was.

You keep referring to a different show and episode that "had you tricked". Maybe you mentioned the name and I missed it, but what show and episode was it?

18:06 - I would have like the episode better if he wouldn't break. If you can rape and butcher someone, over and over - you are a psychopath. And psychopaths don't care for anyone, other then themselves. A real psychopath would easily sacrificed his daughter rather than his freedom by talking. He can have more children if he wants, she's not irreplaceable in his mind.

You are thinking about this in a too black and white manner. The world, and human beings, aren't that simple.

I find it so amazing that these people find each other. Like, do they post on Craigslist or something? It feels like a horrible phenomenon. Also, I’ve thought about how I would feel if I found out someone I loved was evil and honestly I don’t think I’d love them any less. Sorry if that sounds horrible but it’s how I feel.

If they were hiding evil like that then how could you love them when you never really knew them? Not trying to argue just wondering if you could expand on that opinion

This is one of this episodes that are like ughhh. When you really think about it, it is shocking that he was really thinking about saving himself . One it to watch episode on ra*ist and/or pedo*ile but totally different shit when they have family and kinds around the age od victims, like when you think about it, it is do much worse. Discusting.🫨😖😨 But going back to episode I always wonder if he would stay quiet, would he leave or without money they could still hold him longer bc of this little evidences they had. Bc if they have to let him go after some time, then what would this second guy doing, hold his kid all this time and then what, they couldn't really let her go bc she knew already all she needed....
