In case anyone else had some issues understanding how the mechanism is working. Here is video of decoding the lock visually, which shows one fact that I missed in this video the first time around, but is show nicely here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gWTRn5qYYqqNeK8. The fact I missed to understand this otherwise very awesome method for decoding these locks (should have a def-con presentation) is that all (and only) wheels that have been engaged through button press spin on subsequent button presses. Thanks for this, I understand now and I'm off to give it a try

The magnet hack doesn't work on this model of lock. That's a different Simplex lock
