Thanks Jason, for sharing. 28:33 . . . When I used to work for a corporate complex, used to try to loosen the retainer washer / replace when needed... just so didn't fight on install. I'm fairly certain that you can get a pack of 200 for between $11.50 & $17.40 from Granger. If nothing else, good to keep in reserve.

I just had to decode and reset one of those a few days ago, it was one of the real early ones where the code chamber was still marked "Simplex Security Products". Been a few years since I have had to do a new install of one though.

Definitely want a surface mount strike for in-swing door. Panic roller strike works great on out-swing door.

Hey Jason, Great video. That combination chamber looks the same as what's in the 1000. I have several of the 1000's with levers and knobs and some with LFIC bypass keys. Some are for parts and some working. I also have the skinny deadbolt version that would maybe go on a storeroom????. Looking forward to the dive into the combo chamber video.

Since the screws don’t go through could it be defeated by just whacking the combo chamber with a sledgehammer? Could sexbolts be used?

I have a couple of customers with Kaba Simplex 1011's. Typical stuff, lost codes and keys, the 1 button stops working. Only a matter of time before I come across one of these.
