This is so much the heart of the matter in my experience. Still so easy to get caught up in the froth of life and mind, even the froth of anxious or misdirected practice. Thank you for this clear and calm reminder…

"All you are really called to do is investigate the -- immediacy -- of this right now; this, just this. That's it. How closely, how authentically can we recognize what is appearing here or what is perceived? This is what we are called to do." Doesn't get anymore clear than that. Thank you.

I was speaking with a friend the other day about a problem of theirs. Just talking through it. When he was leaving he turned and thanked me saying he would never be able to think like that. I responded: You know, I'm pretty much useless until somebody's poop hits the fan; I've always been good at that. For the first time in my life it seemed more like a compliment than a self complaint. I guess being "useless" can be the useful when what we normally see as useful wears us down. Simply by the virtue of being a fish that swims the waters.

Even though I don't know you, I'll bet you give great insightful advice. You strike me as an observant person and a real "outta the box" thinker. For eg, I'm still thinking about some of your earlier posts, now. They're brilliant. I'm sure your friend feels the same. What's great about getting a mate's take on problems is that they're bringing their own spin on the prob, and sometimes you need an outsider's opinion/advice. I wish I could be more useful to people, I'm the one drowning in the shallow end usually who requires help. I appreciate those who offer help, even though it must be tiresome for them. 💛

That's not to say I don't get happy or I don't get sad or even that I don't get angry anymore. I do. That's not to say my own personal relationships are perfect, they're not. I'm not proud to admit that in an "Anima State" I can cut deeply with words and they bite like teeth. As it so often is, the words I give to others that work can easily describe my own situations in that eerie validity of self diagnosis. lmao.

How do you do that??? I only watched a few minutes and i'm crying like a baby!! so much to let go of. You're discribing my younger self(a stroy I know) It's really hard to hear you encourage others to embrace innocence. I had no words for it when I was young, I just was. It took about 20 years for the world to batter me into it's shape. I think for most people that happens before they are two. It is very hard for me to trust humans, they taught me it's not ok to just be (innocence). I do appreciate what your doing. And you can make me laugh also. I'm a slow reader as words still puzzle me. i'm up to chapter 4 I think (of your book) You wrote the word "behooves" and all I could see was a poor little Bee trying to fly with horse feet. ; o )

K, I spent the majority of my teens and twenties in a very idealistic, naively optimistic out of time, out of era state. I was I feel too trusting and too pure. Consequently, I got screwed over quite a bit and have difficulty trusting humans too, but I always have some optimistic belief that people are basically good and trust that in the people I meet. 95% of the time it turns out they are. I think it's hard to open up to humans but ultimately it's worth it when you find a really awesome person you can be friends with. It makes it soo worthwhile. I think having a child-like innocence is a beautiful trait in a human. I know someone like this who I work with and she is an absolute sweetheart. Everyone adores her. She's such a kind and lovely person, and a very good friend. A devout Christian, and a good wife and mom. She stands up for the underdog (me, lol) and she is one of the kindest people I have ever met. 💛 Kindness and love - nothing better than those qualities :) Take care of yourself K! xoxo :) *hugs Edit - Enigma's "Return to Innocence" is a beautiful song and you're the second person in the last 2 months to reference that song, which is another happy coincidence. That song I know from way back when. I think that's why I love music so much. It's a time teleporter to a happy place, and that song makes me feel happy and connected to the earth. Have you seen the music video. So to the other person who referenced this song, I responded with a song that evoked the same feeling in me and I'll do it again for your precious self, K... That song is "Ordinary World" by Duran Duran... Love that song 💛

@@nat998 Dam you nearly made me cry too!! ; o ) the thought of that perfect little 5 year old learning to be a human "I am being a have". When we teach our children to seek to have, knowledge, power, wealth, happiness whatever, the underlying message is y our not ok just as you are. I know that most parents don't do this consciously, there just being a human. Have you listerned to the lyrices of Pinks song "All I know so far"? @@birgit8996 Thank you. I love the analogy of the movie screen! It's like when you get immersed and absorbed in the movie, you forget you're watching a screen. It seems so real. Even the characters seem real. You forget they're actors. You are the viewer but you feel as though you're a part of the film itself. Time loses linear structure and years and decades even can pass in "movie" time. That's why I've always loved cinema, because it's another reality. That's why I love the concept of dreaming... Because it's a projection of the mind... Entire worlds are created out of nothing but a projection. The screen is blank and unaffected! 💛 Unchanged, unbiased... Reflecting changing scenery (horror, drama, thriller) 😁🙏
