I have a back door that my daughter and I use all the time. I finally got shoe racks for the front closet and the back door. Some of the stuff I have to put in the front closet. It felt so good that it looked cleaner but I can also just pick up the rack when I'm cleaning then put it right back with no hassle. One simple little thing is making me happy :)

I love these Sunday sit down chats and everything this channel is about. I do think we need to be careful about comparing our countries (just as we’d be careful comparing ourselves to other women). I don’t remember which European country it is specifically, but it’s one that’s frequently referenced as one of the happiest. But when you really get into the details, they also had highest rate of prescription anti-depressants. Love you ladies! Keep up the good work!

Community is so important! One of the key reasons behind stress related illnesses ( which is most illness!) Is lack of social connection and whether we can trust that things work as they should. Can we trust our neighbours, community, government to do what they say they will do. Amazing book on stress related illness is "Why Zeebras don't have ulcers" and they go into thos topic. But I’m encouraged to go out and meet people and introduce myself at our new church...I’ve always been in a small town bubble, so it’s definitely an adjustment. You guys are such a joy to watch. We do stay home a lot. I also work out of my home. We turn a lot of electronics off and do family chores/ fun stuff. But we try to walk our neighborhood and volunteer in the community for social.

I love my shoes too Diana. I have an 849 square foot house. When everybody moved out but my daughter and I, expansion happened. LOL Now, my adult son and grandson moved back in and we are SQUEEZED! Thank you for talking about our need for community! A much needed topic of discussion! I think the overall sense of community has diminished for most people. There are people we sit near each week in church and don't really know each other! I moved to a new larger city 3 years ago and have felt down that I haven't connected with more people. This was an encouraging video! I had been praying for a few years for closer friends in my new area. And a year ago I connected with a Mom at a local restaurant! Our daughters started playing and hit it off so right when she was about to get in her car I mustered up the courage and ask her for her info and if she would like to do a play date. This took all I had because I am an introvert. She said yes and we have become friends along side our daughters becoming friends! The Lord gave me a friend and answered my prayers! But I also had to go outside my comfort zone! Thank you both for your weekly videos!

I would love a whole episode on simplifying shoes! We're probably at 60% on our minimalist journey, but I get stuck on shoes! I feel the need to have a pair of closed toed and open toed heels in both black and light colors and I only wear heels about once every two months! I ADORE those black shoes that look like a Mary Jane with a stacked heel that you tried to "give away." I must have your taste Diana. heehee I am a picky dress-shoe girl and only own (2) pairs of dress shoes but I sure do love those cute, black ones of yours :D I used to love shoes, and worked at a shoe store as a teen; I had so many pairs then bc I would actually buy a pair of shoes, then, buy an outfit to go with the shoes....That is age 17 for you, right?! After starting this minimalist journey, I have paired my shoes/boots to the bare minimum of ( 11 ) prs total for all seasons combined :) including my snow boots. Diana, you did a great job on your shoe closet; Dawn, how sweet of you to help and encourage. Sometimes we just need a "cheerleader" in our life to cheer us on. That can also bring about happiness :) BLess you both. I enjoyed the message here today.
