So this is interesting. Whenever I hand embroider I put some iron on Pelon on the back. I would probably stick to my method. I’ve been embroidering and appliquéing for years and never found going through multiple layers an issue as I don’t go through all the layers. I like that the thread is hidden as I work.. I love learning new techniques as there is always someone who has a more efficient way of creating so I shall go back to the February video ❤️❤️❤️

❤❤❤ the strawberry topper! I hope to decorate my kitchen with a red & white 🍓🌼strawberry theme in the Summer, so this little topper will give me something to start with. 👍 Then comes 🍓🌼DIY quilted curtains, small appliance covers, 🍓🌼tea towels & hot pads, wall hanging etc, etc., Enough to keep me busy for a month or two. 😅 Must get some 🍓 tableware too. 👍

🌺🌸 Hi, is this freezer paper on the back? Should I watch the very first tutorial to see what it is? Could we cut some white fabric the same size than the top , maybe glue the edges with Roxanne’s glue, do the hand embroidery and then, put the appliqués? We could see where to place the appliqués through two layers of white cotton on the light box … I think; I don’t have a light box. What do you think? We wouldn’t see the thread because of the two layers and the back of the topper would be neat which is a must for me. Have a great day and the topper is as gorgeous as the other ones! I know I’ll make some in the future for myself and for gifts. Thanks for the tutorial!

Hi Mariette. The paper you are seeing is the backing to our pre fused white fabric. You could absolutely add a lining if you would like. We would love to see your completed product photos! -Kristen

Hi, I'm new to all of this, so pardon my ignorance. I noticed there wasn't any echo quilting done around the strawberries like you've done in some of the other toppers. What was the reason for not echo quilting this one?

Good call on the lack of echo quilting on this table topper - We decided to not do it with this one for aesthetic purposes, so you can echo quilt around the shapes as desired. Is the hand embroidery just the scroll in the center? Can I do the kit doing sewing machine appliqué and just leave out the hand embroidery? Thank you.

You can customize this kit any way you would like. The hand embroidery is only in the center. Hope this helps! -Kristen

I live in east Georgia and none of the quilt shops carry any kits that you show. I really like the strawberry topper. I wish I could find this kit or pattern. Keep up the good work.
