This was so great! I loved the part about all three legs coming together.... Also the mother's personal self education. I so appreciate that you allow grace for the mom of littles ( it's been a long season in the baby trenches for me. My oldest is 14, youngest is 7 months and there are 8 children in-between. I don't remember what a full night's sleep feels like.:-)) I'm studying the chemistry behind cold process soap making. I mastered basic soap years ago and make all the soap for my household now. Also studying how to grow food through the winter in a greenhouse. We just finished building ours yesterday.

Thank you for taking the time to share what you are working on learning for yourself! Those years are long and hard (and you have had a lot of them) but it is so good to hear that you are still making time for your own learning!

I am still very new to Charlotte Mason's philosophy, yet my whole life (as well as my children's) have been dramatically changed for it. My children and I have been exploring art and music so deeply. Not only have both my girls begun to learn piano but I found myself becoming passionate about learning it as well. I see connections everywhere, feel so inspired by the great masters, and have deepened my already strong love for nature. Charlotte Mason is continuing to impact the lives of children and parents alike, and I am so grateful for having found the philosophy, and similarly grateful to Simply Charlotte Mason for bringing the light of Charlotte's work to me. ❤

It would be interesting to hear how each of the CM team and familiar faces does/did their homeschool day when they started out vs now (or when their youngest ones were in high school if they’ve graduated them all)

I think if you truly believe in a philosophy, you cannot relegate it to one area of your life or another. Loved this!

Hi, Thank you so much for reaching out with your question! These quotes were taken from "The Story of Charlotte Mason," which has the entire letter at the end of chapter 8. This letter was written in 1895 and included in the first issue of "L'Umile Pianta" which was the newsletter for graduated teachers from Charlotte Mason's training college. simplycharlottemason.com/store/the-story-of-charlotte-mason/ Here is a copy of that newsletter from 1896. archive.org/details/LUmilePiantaJuly1896/p001-3UPjl1896/page/n1/mode/2up You may also enjoy looking through the Charlotte Mason Digital Collection as well which has other documents available. archive.org/details/charlottemasondigitalcollection
