Every 5 Minutes the Game Gets "Weirder"...

Today I'm playing Super Mario Odyssey but every 5 minutes the game gets "Weirder". This can be something as simple as adding in ice physics or spawning dogs to completely new features never before seen in Mario Odyssey like a "Hunger Bar". This is by far one of the most chaotic challenges I've ever done so subscribe and enjoy the video!

This was a bizarre amount of social commentary: Fir was taught early the wonders of money long before learning what the consequences are, then was expected to pay back those consequences in full when the time finally came. Every consequence only made it harder to pay the price, until eventually recovering from poor decisions early on became impossible, and the only choice was to shoulder the burden. Also, would be fascinated to see a run revolving around the "low jumps" gimmick, where there's no changes except all normal jumps are basically worthless and Fir has to rely on cap bounces, backflips, and other such tech.

I mean, many people have beaten the game jumpless (only cap bounces + capture jumps, as those don't count in the code). If you don't like the capture jumps not counting, ig that would make a difference in the frog room, where you might be able to do min caps (I don't think so but maybe?), but you still need to jump with bowser at the end

This once again reinforces my long-held belief: For most challenge runs, the dragon is a major pain point. IIRC Smallant once had a challenge run where it literally took him multiple days to beat the dragon.

When you think about it, this run is like college: having loads of money to have fun, then going into college and getting dept, others fighting for the same positions as you, and having to deal with one or two major classes which takes seemingly forever while failing to learn, and at the end, you are satisfied with loads in dept

This is probably the most well-made one of these mods I've seen! The graphics for the effects are very clean, and the ideas themselves are interesting! I really like the additional coin abilities, I'd love to see a mod made centering around them- some kind of Odyssey Arcade Edition, maybe? Gives out a lot of coins, but deaths reset you to the beginning of the kingdom and bring your coins down to zero no matter how many you had coming in. Regardless, very well done on both the mod and the gameplay- I can't imagine beating the dragon with all of that madness!

Speedrun idea: nuts% start on a new save file, grab every single nut in the game and throw them into the void. (Including deep woods) For nuts in snow/lake kingdom ect. where there are walls, throw them on the odyssey. In lost kingdom, throw them in the poison. Turnups count as well BTW.

Hey Fir! I just came up with a challenge run for you with this very game! Everytime you say a the name of a character in the game, that exact character shows up, whether it's Peach or a Goomba or even straight up Bowser! And simultaneously, for everytime you say Mario's name he gets warped to the Odyssey. Although I'm unsure of how to have things work out if you mention the dragon boss that looks like he came straight out of Monster Hunter

I have an idea for a Mario Odyssey mod. However, its co-op exclusive. One player controls Mario as normal. However, they're robbed of their ability to use to R-stick to rotate the camera. INSTEAD, Player 2 becomes a Lakitu, that cannot take damage, cannot damage enemies, & no-clips through every surface. The camera for BOTH players is exclusively through their eyes. Oh yeah, & Mario moves as if his camera is always directly behind him.
