That's so awesome! This is why I love Street food in general. You interact with the people who owns the business and you can see the passion from them. They're the to support their family in a very honest and pure way and not all about the money. You can see that when the lady got the 5,000 PHP she even paid for the people who were actually her customers. Sharing right away the money that she got! That's real love right there!

As a Filipino, I hate it when local vendors take advantage of the pricing specially when they know the person is totally unaware about the pricing in our local market. The price of that "TAHO" is ridiculous. You could have gotten 2 and a half cups for that price. I still believe in honest work.

I used to walk around Quiapo (the side streets you went to) and all the way to CM Recto, then the length of Sta Cruz and Carriedo back to Quiapo. This was late 90s to early 00s. I loved seeing all the stuff for sale, like bootleg jeans and cheap 2nd-hand books. Then I'd finish off with a massive food trip. There were a lot of choices, from food stalls to amazing small restaurants! I would even walk all the way to Binondo and eat at the best Chinese authentic restos. I miss it! 😫😫😫 Someday, I'll come home and roam those streets again. Lol. Enjoy your stay in Manila.

Good content like the other channels. I'm new to your channels, a little confused why you have three, but ... Anyway, I like this video. $100 goes very far in terms of street food. PHP50 for taho ... wow ... growing up in the 70s we used to buy that for 25 Philippine cents. In the 80s it was like 1 or 2 pesos. I now miss my Philippine street food. And that mini-turon allusion was just hilarious. And just to clarify coconuts -- there are different terms for it. 'Niyog' is old coconut (brown), usually shaved or shredded and used as a topping for other desserts. 'Buko' is young coconut (green) and is usually eaten from the shell, or shaved and shredded to be mixed into drinks and other foods. So, you put niyog on a rice cake, but you drink buko juice after eating that. And Lisa was playing 'Kwarta o Kahon' with you -- a reference to an old Philippine prize show in which contestants choose either money or a mystery box to win prizes. People would yell 'kwarta' (money) or 'kahon' (box). Good show man!
