I'm also in the same boat when it comes to getting rid of things. I also didn't grow up with any money, I never got anything "extra", it was always what I needed. When I got older and started making a decent amount of money I started to buy things I wanted, not just what I needed and I REALLY struggle with getting rid of stuff, but I'm working on it! It's nice to hear someone else talk about it, and see some of the other comments about it! Loving all the vlogs, thanks for all the work you're putting into them!

There is a fabric/lint shaver on Amazon that does an amazing job of getting pilling off clothes and furniture or whatever you need to use it on. Does not hurt the clothes/furniture either!

No, I live for de-cluttering! It makes me want to declutter, too! I plan on going through my closet and minimize it more. I have gotten everything to fit in my wardrobe and one dresser and I could still get rid of more. That anxiety I am familiar with! I think it's just what you said. Not having the ease as a kid and you grow up not hoarding per se but yes we need to push ourselves more to let go of things. We are not our stuff.

They sell little tools for like $10 that will take all that stuff right off without damaging your clothes. Seriously such a closet saving tool!

I love getting rid of stuff! My biggest struggle right now though is my clothes. I had a very small wardrobe to begin with, but now I have lost 55 pounds and nothing fits. I have a virtual job so I can get by with my exercise shorts and baggy leggings at home, but going out is another story. I don’t want to buy more clothes yet cause I feel like it’s giving myself permission to stay this weight when I’m not at my goal yet, but my lack of clothes that fit is getting ridiculous. Also, I have been putting my outgrown clothes in a box afraid I’ll need them again if I was to get pregnant or something and put weight back on. Not sure what to do!

I came just to tell you all about the lint shaver 🥰 but I seen someone beat me to it 🥴 I discovered it this year and that thing is a blessing if you wear black clothes a lot or tend to like ‘furry’ textures in sweaters, socks, even blankets. Just type in lint remover and it should come up, also you’re not alone on struggling to get rid of things, I always said it was from growing up struggling so hard and that’s what I mentally blame it on but don’t be hard on yourself, you’ve done wonderful this year decluttering your life. ❤️ I genuinely never get tired of your content, ever. xx

I love these organizing vlogs! I'm getting ready to move soon so I need all the inspo! I'm the same way tho, I grew up being told no a lot because my parents didn't have a lot of money so I started being kind of a hoarder with anxiety when I got older and made my own money. I notice I don't cherish things the same way I did when I was younger. I'm definitely trying to be more of a minimalist. It's also nice to focus on one product, pan it and then get something new.

We are in the middle of moving and I just got rid of a bunch of makeup. We lived in the last place for three years so it was like if I didn’t use it, I threw it away. I trashed it because I had used it, so it wasn’t brand new, and it expired. I love organizing so this video is great! Lol

I had a collegue once , she was a widow , and for a year she was wearing only black, is a tradition here in my country. She said once that she feels very good not having the problem what to wear every day. She had to wear black. She had 2-3 outfits , she was wearing whatever was clean, same for the shoes and handbag.....Total black, no jewellery, no coloured nails , no fancy make up ( only a bb cream and a mascara ).......She became minimalist.....

I get rid of things so easily,like whenever i feel sad i organize my clothes and gave it to charity and it makes me feel so light but there are some stuff that has memory and old by now that i won't get rid of.

You can get rid of the cotton balls(pilling) on your clothes by either gently scraping along the surface with a fresh razor blade or getting an inexpensive de-pilling machine (lint shaver) on amazon. They are very fun and satisfying to use. You can use them for blankets and furniture too. :)

I’ve never really been that into makeup, but I do use (most days) foundation, mascara, under eye concealer, and a small palette meant for blush and contouring for contouring and eye shadow lol. That’s literally it, crazy to see people have soooo much of everything haha

I’m an artist and I recently got a ton of new brushes, which meant I needed to get rid of my old unusable ones. I went through them yesterday and I had a really hard time throwing them away. I hate getting rid of stuff and the getting rid of stuff mentality. Because I almost always wish I had my stuff back, I just personally don't like my apartment to feel empty. And it's so sad to me that all this stuff people are getting rid of mostly just ends up in a landfill somewhere. Instead of getting rid of stuff all the time, I wish people would just stop buying stuff all the time and just use what you have first.
