Hi mate, great setup! I am building surge and TL currently and will be doing something quite similar like your surge implementation so got some questions. What size rails you used - those look like 20 or 25mm, never could find load rating on those myself and am wondering which to chose. Also the bracket holding the rail bearing to the 4040 profile - are those 3D printed or you made them from metal? And last question - is the top frame holding seat and pedals strong enough being made from 4040 extrusions? I have option to go 4080 for that one, I have inverted pedal rack which makes things more complicated so maybe is better to go size up. Anyway, thanks for the inspiration again, this would be fun thing to add to me RS mega and get rid of the NLR seatmover I have currently!

This is awesome. I just need to figure out how you got the traction control for yaw. I’m trying to set up a racing/flight sim rig

your wheel base seems to be static relative to the surge platform. Doesn't that feel a little odd?

Nice... so my rig is a Std SIM-LAB P1-X - with SFX-100 of course.... so would I be able to convert a P1-X to this?
@FuzimumplW4 жыл бұрын
I assume from what I have seen about the rig in terms of dimensions that the base rig is already too small ... but logically I can only say something about that if I knew the dimensions ... Hold a finished rig But I am basically a pretty sub-optiomal anyway ... first of all, these things are way too expensive, and then most of the time everything does not fit together when converting ... that's why I would never buy a finished rig but always build it myself.

This platform can handle 2 passengers?

how can I add the surge and traction loss like you?
@FuzimumplW4 жыл бұрын
jchief40 It's all made to measure ... The frame has to be built in a certain way, whether it all works that way depends on your base frame. You need a certain minimum size so that everything fits in there at all ... I had a base frame on which I then adjusted everything. In order to be able to say anything sensible at all, I would have to know your simulator, that cannot be said in general terms. The basis is an SFX100 simulator ... But a lot is still being changed.

nicht wirklich... ist mein alter Simulator, den ich auch nicht mehr habe... Ich weis halt wie man sowas baut... im Grunde passt man alles immer auf die eigenen Bedürfnisse an

Your seat and pedals are moving independently of your wheel. Not the best I think?
@FuzimumplW3 жыл бұрын
That depends

@@FuzimumplW on what? what car has that feature? any car I have ever seen, the seat is fixed relative to the wheel.
@ackattacker6 ай бұрын
@@danielharris3827In a real car the seat/pedals/wheel all stay in the same position relative to each other, however the large g-forces involved throw you around in the seat somewhat so you feel like you are moving relative to the controls. So long as the surge and yaw motions are relatively small, a little bit of motion relative to the controls can add to the immersion and feeling like you are experiencing large g forces even though you are only experience small motion cues.
