how rally driving isnt the biggest racing sprot makes no sense. Its infinetly more challenging than the likes of nascar, indy, F1, or drifting. The ammount of skill it taakes to be able to fly through dirt and gravel roads while not losing control is absilutely insane
@ProjectSimRacing Жыл бұрын
Totally get your point! Rally racing is insanely challenging due to its unpredictable nature. However, every form of racing has its unique trials. The precision in F1, the 'art' of turning left in NASCAR🤣🤣🤣, and car control in drifting are all testaments to that. Each is tough and thrilling in its own right.
@mech0p Жыл бұрын
@@ProjectSimRacing oh for sure but id also argue that rally puts all of that together into one race and amplifys it by 10 the only thing it doesnt match is the speed of nascar and f1 which makes since beacuse they arent 8million dollar cars or on open tracks. But i still watch them all when i can its just hard to beat rally racing
@ProjectSimRacing Жыл бұрын
I can't disagree, rally is like an all-in-one extreme motorsport package! It's the very essence of racing against the elements. It truly is hard to beat. That said, there's something to love about all types of racing. Each sport, from the precision ballet of F1 to NASCAR's...unrelenting mastery of going around in circles😝🤣 brings its own unique charm. The diversity is what makes the racing world so vibrant and exciting!
@madbull4666 Жыл бұрын
Depends if you're talking about being the driver or spectator. For the spectator circuit racing can be more entertaining due to seeing a lot more cars and the frequency of which you see them same with any battles and overtakes, while rally you may see a car here and there for a second or 2 and that's it. Getting good TV angles etc would be hard to do. It's fun to see competition battling it out on the tarmac while rally is only about the timing sheets which isn't as fun to watch. As a driver top level rallying is very dangerous and can easily end with a death or a serious accident, with normal racing with all the safety gear this is unlikely to happen. So they may feel a little more comfortable.

Thank you so much! Yeah you are right, I was just used to my irl Golf R and made a couple of videos like this. The rest of my DR2 videos are the right way around 🙂👍
@FinlayDaG33k Жыл бұрын
most cars have push to downshift, pull to upshift (because it's easier to do when fighting the g-forces). "backwards" sequentials are mainly done in "road-going" cars where people using them downshift as a means of braking (rather than to have the best gear to pull away quickly).
@ProjectSimRacing Жыл бұрын
Great point, FinlayDaG33k! You're absolutely correct; the orientation usually depends on the car's primary use case. In most performance and racing settings, it's pull to upshift and push to downshift due to the g-forces. I appreciate the technical insight! It's details like these that make sim racing such an immersive experience.

Hey @b.s.7693, I see where you're coming from, but I want to clarify a few things. My FFB is definitely on, and usually set quite high. In fact, if you take a closer look at my video, you'll notice a significant amount of wheel movement, indicative of high FFB settings. I value the realism and feedback that strong FFB provides, as it's essential for understanding car behavior and dynamics. And I don't care about world records. Just to be clear, running without FFB wouldn't logically make me faster! On the contrary, it's the nuanced feedback that aids in precision driving. It looks like you're driving a boat with the center position & camera like that 😅. I've seen a few of your videos, amazing setup. Must've required a lot of work.

I used this view because DR2 doesn't natively support triple screens and it was challenging to get the cockpit view to look any good. However, I've recently found a way to optimize it, so I'm using the cockpit view on all of my more recent videos 😁 Thank you 😊🙌

@@ProjectSimRacing you mean IRL or in a game?^^ i had 2 cars with seq. gearboxes from Quaife and they shifted both opposite like yours :) pull = gear up, push = down :) eitherway, would you recommend the fanatec shifter? i got the same Wheelbase but with the bmw wheel and Clubsport v3 pedals but no shifter yet 😕 well, a nice one^^ i got a 40$ aliexpress one xD
@ProjectSimRacing27 күн бұрын
@swealer IRL😁 Yes, I strongly recommend that shifter! The best thing about it is that it's both a sequential and H-pattern shifter. And it feels really great😊 If you want help my channel out, use my affiliate link (it doesn't cost you anything extra) fanatec.com/eu-en/shifters-others/clubsport-shifter-sq-v-1.5?number=CSS_SQ&FAP+Banner&General+Links&a_aid=642e93a817bf2

Amazing video and great setup, can i ask - does DR2.0 use native triple screens or the Nvidia large-screen option?
@ProjectSimRacing8 ай бұрын
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it 🙌 Unfortunately DR2 doesn't have triple screen support 🙄 And no matter how much you try, it wont look perfect on a triple screen setup. This is the best I could get it look like: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fWW7ZX-AmcimbdEsi=IdvpUKTwPWa9yir6
@dave-j-k8 ай бұрын
@@ProjectSimRacing Thanks, so you have to use the Nvidia option then, thats a shame, I find it makes it really hard to switch between that and an app that uses native triples like MSFS2020 as it upsets the settings. Something I'll just have to live with then :)
