One weird thing I always found in Belladonna Cove is that sims are much more likely to flirt with each other than in other neighbourhoods. For example, if Samantha and Gabriel are in the welcome wagon they probably end up falling in love with each other.

Isabelle Baldwin is actually extremely lazy, so it makes sense that she is unemployed, although is having potential to go big in a career. Plus her husband is either turned off by unemployed or turned on by hardworking Sims, don't remember which one exactly. But it is a great potential for drama. As for Timothy Riley, I think he left the job after his wife died due to electrical shortcut on the job. But you could see in the family photos him training Vivian on his career reward. Plus he often rolls a want to get a job, which makes me think that is willing to go back into medicine to look after Vivian. Enjoyed your take on Belladonna cove so much! Would love to see you make a video about facts of the town.

i think scripted events are like "tutorials" or "introduction" u know.. like introduction to alien, burglar, cheating, etc. that's why the expansion packs don't have them bc they figured you're already familiar with the game.

Yes, they were tutorials to introduce players to new game mechanics. That's why I think they would have worked great in the expansion pack 'hoods to introduce the new features of each pack (hobbies, magic, seasons).

I love the trailer park! I tend to place it in Pleasantview opposite Brandi’s place. I’m not too keen on Belladonna Cove but think it suits Pleasantview well! (I have to have apartments in that hood because I love apartment gameplay generally in TS2 and it’s my favourite neighbourhood!)

The weird thing is that I swear one time when I was younger I played this world and I started with old man Contender - the athlete - and I got a pop up as if for a scripted event like with the base game worlds... it was something about him wanting to retire but still wanting to have fun and flirt it up with the ladies... idk LOL. I've never gotten it since though.

I played the Cordials girls the most in Belladonna Cove, they remind me of Pleasant girls and that house i love it!!!!!!!!! Yes, Maxis did so many mistakes but Belladonna Cove is also different from the rest of neighborhoods, the stories, the houses' design everything is better, next level i would say :))

Honestly I love your insight. I didn’t have this since I was so young playing it when it was first a thing (when apartment life came out) I don’t use mods because of the abandonware version I have but I like how you play I’m thinking about adding in the rotational style into my gameplay as well as the fertility rule you have (one of my sims tried 9 times and still wouldn’t get pregnant so I had to use tombstone of L&D to get her pregnant but now it gives sims a reason to adopt AND adds more bloodlines into the neighborhood) love your videos!

Belladonna Cove is the neighbourhood I've been playing non stop for months now, almost all the original sims are dead or dying now. I've had to move almost all the sim bin families in to the neighbourhood so I have enough people to marry into the families. But my god, so much corruption, I wish I had known about clean templates when I started it. I finish so interesting that I didn't even think about the job/skills matching but for me Timothy and Isabelle both rolled the wants to join the careers you matched them with. It really was meant to be!

I’ve played the sims 2 for a decade now and you still manage to teach me new things LOL Also, with the sim blender, after you give the sim the career you want them to have, if you click the blender and go to careers again then you’ll have the option to set the level. :)

The funniest thing about the Cordial sisters is that every time I’ve ever played in Belladonna Cove, Samantha has always been the nastiest sim to others and Kimberly has always been friendly, and I don’t know why that is 😂

Omg how did I not think of pairing Jason with Geoff?? The opportunity was staring right at my face! Tho I guess I never noticed because they are brothers in law so it would be a bit weird if they got together haha. That and I like to pair up Geoff with either Chastity, since he has three bolts with her and they compliment each other, or Connor because he -Connor-usually ends up bi in my game (courtesy of the gender preference randomizer) and surprisingly has good chemistry with Geoff. But Geoff, being the romance sim he is, just doesn’t know what commitment is lmao.

I think I mentioned on a previous one of these videos that I’m so uninterested in any of the expansion pack hoods due to the lack of scripted events and ‘half-assery’, but I love how you find stories even from the smallest details! Belladonna cove is the only expansion neighborhood that I played with, mostly because of the builds. I hate all the builds in Riverblossom Hills and Desiderada Valley so couple that with half-assery in the sim department and I was like 'whatever, I'll just build my own neighborhood' after one round with the families, but the urban atmosphere in Belladonna cove was so well done that it did draw me in to get to know the families. I think it's my favorite after Plesantview, it has a really good balance of drama and wholesomeness.

Belladonna Cove's Maxis half-assery shows so hard... the things that really stand out to me are the glitchy bits in the family trees and the personalities that are just one astrological pre-set paired with a different sign. There's also a very noticeable error in the Clevelands' family bio, where they call Marissa "Martha."

If you have ACR and look at his sim tokens he has no attraction to women, I discovered that while doing my setup day with them because I was curious if that was his actual preference, it is and I think that’s pretty cool!

Because of yours and Plumbella’s videos I found sims 2 online and played again ❤️❤️❤️ I remember being in 6th grade counting down the seconds all day for my dad to pick me up so he could take me to target and I’d use my allowance money to buy the sims 2 the day it came out!!!!!! :) Been a simmer since The Sims and I never would’ve thought how amazing the sims 2 would be in 2020. I was so excited for the sims 3 and 4 but I can’t even play the sims 3 anymore because it ALWAYS lags and crashes. And sims 4 is only good for graphics and build mode. So glad to be playing Sims 2 and look forward to binging your sims 2 videos!!!!!

After watching your Desiderata Valley video, I wanted to play that neighbourhood again! However when I loaded the neighbourhood for the first time in this install, the bin families weren't there? Do you know if this would have something to do with my mods--I have both clean templates and stealth neighbourhoods installed--or anything else? I always get the urge to play neighbourhoods after you've talked about them, but I'm reluctant to open any of the other neighbourhoods in case this happens again.
