I have been thinking about this for forever! I knew a few Shakespeare plays but the idea of analyzing all of them in relation to Veronaville seemed so daunting. This series is something I've wanted for forever. And you did such a great job including fantastic acting choices in the machinima. Olivia's character is fascinating, being a family sim who mourned the death of her brother so much but found new love in her own family only to die pregnant is strangely poetic. Like she tried to replace her grief with a new family but ultimately could not escape it and died herself to be with her brother taking her unborn baby with her so in death she is with both her old family and new one. I wish Viola wasn't scrapped, she's a great character in the play (and also in "She's the Man" which is a great movie). I wonder if there's a safe way to resurect/clone her into the game.

I wish Viola had made it into the final game too! 😄 You can't resurrect her because she doesn't have proper character files but if you go to the first link I put in the description, you can download Carrit's recreation of Viola and put her in your game (the file to download is "Veronaville_Extra_Sims").

Oh, that was so much fun! I've always wanted to know more about Shakespeare's plays + the way they influenced Veronaville and you included both of those in such a lovely, educational and entertaining way, I'm in love with the series already! Can't wait to watch the rest :)

I like the romantic interpretation of Antonio and Sebastian maybe even a mix of father son / romantic. Like unrequited ? Sebastian sees Antonio as a father figure bc Sebastian wants / needs a father, but he’s actually misinterpreting Antonio’s romantic feelings for him. The fact that Antonio is a recurring name in Shakespeare’s plays I wonder if it had real life significance to him? In your analysis of the merchant of Venice the evidence for Antonio being gay is much stronger and almost explicitly canon. I feel like this also supports the Antonio here also being possibly gay. Also my personal conspiracy is that maybe Shakespeare had a secret lover named Antonio or knew someone named Antonio when he was alive 💔 and maybe that’s why he kept adding in random characters named Antonio. The only other repeating name that’s come up was Juliet I think ? I also think Antonio could be a self insert of Shakespeare himself if the rumors abt him being gay are true. Hmmm

Wow this was amazing!!! ⭐ Not only is it an incredibly creative and deeply interesting concept, the way you presented everything was genius. It was so easy to follow along, and it was presented in a really engaging way, which can be a stuggle with really old texts like Shakespeare's. The mixed overview and explanations, with actual cinematic scenes played out, went so well together. You matched the talk animations with the script perfectly! You added pictures and references to the family trees expertly, just when they were needed, and provided such interesting insights into the stories and characters that I sat at the edge of my seat. Amazing! Really looking forward to watching the next episodes ❤

Did you ever thought abou making a neighborhood with all the non existing characters?!?! Like a truly Shakespearian Verona Village?!

Yes! Actually I've thought about making subhoods populated by Shakespeare characters, to attach them to Veronaville. Maybe I'll do something like that when I'm done with the series.
