I got a notification for a comment pointing out that reputation can be changed on residential lots if you use the comm-skilling mod (a mod that allows skill-building on community lots, get it here: www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php?topic=7462.0 or here: www.mediafire.com/file/2jlvhfvvhj825ju/comm-skilling.package/file). The comment seems to have disappeared, idk if the user deleted it or if youtube ate it up for no reason, but either way, it's true and it's awesome! (I did test it to make sure because I had no idea ^^')

Idk if I’m the only one but I wish jealousy was actual jealousy instead of getting mad at cheating lol. Like a sim just not liking their so or crush hanging out with another sim depending on their traits/personality points. Super helpful video btw! The jealousy system in ts2 is great but fixes and tweaks are always welcomed

Yes! It would be cool to have sims who are a bit possessive and react to their partner or crush getting close to others. Subtle reactions - not yelling, slapping and losing >100STR/LTR (looking at you, Darren) 😄 I don't know if there would be an appropriate personality profile for this but it could be tied to a custom trait for sure.

@@letomills exactly!!! More dramaaaa 😈 but also it would add more depth to the sims’ personalities and relationships for sure

It would be awesome that a mod existed for that lost(or never got) feature of the trailer! One mod that makes possible to spread gossip, about cheating of the Sim B, to Sim A, so it generates a negative affair memory, even if they don't caught them chating(and thus, such memory wouldn't trigger! Only the affair one), and Sim A can properly react to it.

Do you know if Pescado’s mod is compatible with the Traits Project mod? I’m planning out my gameplay before returning to playing TS2 after an almost 3 year, unintentional, break (had a baby IRL 😅🥰). I’d love to know if they are compatible before I start, so I don’t get my hopes up. Pescado’s mod sounds perfect, so if it’s not compatible with trains, I’ll stick with Pescado.

Really glad to see romancemod here. I'm way too much of a control freak to install ACR, so having a mod that just gives simple fixes for the big issues with Sims 2 romance (e.g. Sims getting mad at their partner when they reject another Sim's advances, Romance Sims being hypocrites, any Sim being willing to accept a flirt if the relationship value is high enough even if they're a married Family Sim with the wrong gender preference) is just great.

Thank you, I learn a lot making these videos too! People have been making so many TS2 mods for years and years and it's great but it can definitely be confusing to navigate since there isn't a centralized place to find and compare them all. I started my CC hell bc of unnecessary drama from an accidental flirting interaction, that's how I've found the ACR mod. Now I've CC-ed the game too close to the sun bc one household is having the "jumping" bug that I can't fix 😭
@letomills Жыл бұрын
Oh that sucks. The quickest way to find out which mod is causing the bug would be the 50/50 method. Take out half of the mods from your folder, get into the household and see if the bug is still there. If it is, the issue is somewhere in the half you kept in. It it's gone, it's in the half you took out. Keep the "safe" half away for now, and keep dividing the "problematic" half until you've pinpointed the mod causing the issue.

midge's a life saver, to think that the feature they dropped from simler was actually the only thing that made me second guess getting romantic standards, i like to control if and when my sims get caught cheating, it's not up for them to refuse an interaction if i've planned it so carefully hahaha, also sims rejecting interactions when friends of their partner are around would be a no/no for my community lot cheating scheme and huge friends/family network :'') it has everything i want with none of the "downsides" for my gameplay style as far as i understood the mod

Thank you so much for this video. I subscribed to your channel because of your previous video about jealousy in the vanilla game. I was looking for information on the subject since university premades generate chaotic situations that can be very funny, but that cheating memory is uncomfortable when it comes to one side crushes or when the sim has rejected the flirtation. I appreciate the visual examples of each mod because the romantic standard mods have such extensive documentation that it's hard to fully understand everything. I don't think I've found the perfect mod for me yet, as I end up liking many individual aspects of these mods, but they add so many other features that I don't want to have. I'd love the possibility that these mods could be divided into individual features, to choose exactly what one needs, or I'd like to learn how to make my own mod but that would have to be a long term project since I don't know how to do it. At the moment, Pescado's mod seemed quite interesting to me. There isn't much information on other players using it so it was great to know its features.
@letomills Жыл бұрын
I'm glad the video was helpful. This is definitely an aspect of the game that's tricky to mod to your exact liking because of how complex it all is, but I hope Pescado's mod will serve you well 😊

Sims can talk about other Sims' positive memories through regular chat, although it's not always obvious who they're talking about like it is with gossip. I have no idea whether this can cause jealousy. I've certainly never seen it happen.
@letomills Жыл бұрын
Can they really chat about other sims' memories or just their own though? I regularly see pregnant sims refer to their pregnancy, or sims talking about getting into private school or learning a life skill, stuff like that, but I'm not sure that I've ever seen them chat about someone else's life.
@Christophee1987 Жыл бұрын
@@letomills I believe they can, based on my own experience. I have an example from my latest Pleasantview (which I restart way too often). Herb and Coral had a date at home with nobody else around. They are the only two Sims in the hood who have been on a date at this point. Later Coral was speaking on the phone to Lilith and the dream date topic came up. Then when I played the Burbs and John was talking on the phone to Lilith, the dream date topic came up again even though neither of them have been on a date themselves. Looking at their memories in SimPE, I can see that John and Lilith both have a gossip memory of Coral having a dream date with Herb. Maybe there is another explanation for this, but it seems to me that they were talking about somebody else's memory.

@@Christophee1987 Oh that's very cool! I'll have to pay more attention to my sims' bubbles in the future, and try to run some experiments with spreading the "had an affair" memory through chatting. Thank you for this!

@@letomills I just saw another example which may be of interest. I was on a hobby lot and two NPCs (Lucy Hanby and Dorian Kauker) were chatting about a promotion. Obviously it's impossible for NPCs to get promoted, so it must have been about somebody else. I checked SimPE and Lucy has a gossip memory about Kaylynn getting a promotion, which makes sense as Lucy is her maid so she would have been there to see it happen. Dorian has the same gossip memory, so presumably he could spread it to somebody else if he wanted to.

The load order should not matter with those two. The documentation of ACR v1 says that ACR doesn't conflict with any mods made by Pescado and even recommends using ACR and the Romance Mod together, without mentioning a specific load order. So you should be good either way 😊
