Hello everyone! Jawdzzz here, today i am releasing my first step by step guide tutorial video on:
How to install mods & custom content in The Sims 3
2022 addition for people who're looking to rewind and head back into the good old sims 3 days where everything was so enjoyable!
I also included some of my tips & tricks on how to reduce lag, freezing, glitching & slow loading screen times after downloading & installing custom content but i'll also be doing a seperate video on my tips & tricks on how to reduce lag, freezing, glitching, bugs etc!

Did you make sure the mods are properly installed and are not sitting in your downloads tab in your sims 3 launcher?

I'm planning to get back into the Sims 3 again after 3 years. I used to not play with custom content and mods at all although I did play with all the paid for expansion packs and stuff packs. This time I want to try custom content since most of the Sims stuff I get bored of easily and then all my Sims look the same lol. I need help. I have done everything and set up all my folders and have added some things but when I load into my game, I don’t see anything that I’ve added into my folders. The only things that I have that are in game is when it has a Sims pack icon that get loaded in through the launcher.

Try it with this mod folder, this one contains the actual resource.cfg within it, i'm not sure why for some people it doesn't work for them.

Hello! I followed all the steps but somehow I can’t manage to make my .package mods to work. I’ve installed WinRAR and tried downloading the Resource.cfg with and without it. Right now the file is named “Resource.cfg_Documents” it has the WinRAR icon and under “type” it says “WinRAR archive” how can I fix this? Thank you if you reply and have a nice day!

Make a new folder on your desktop and drag the winrar icon file into it than right click and extract here, its what i do

i got m hair and fe hair and i extracted into foders i made in packages all have first letter caps and named it putted the cc in thos folders even outside of thos files still nth after i started the game btw the package files

drag the sims3pack world download into your downloads folder in your documtnets > electronic arts > sims 3 fodler. Open your launcher and try to install it!

What I like to do is hold the left side of the mouse and drag to highlight all the sims icons. Once they're all selected just right click and press open and either keep accepting or it'll automatically do it. Max you can do is 15 at a time

Try unzipping it with unzip and see if it makes a difference :)

Absolutely nothing, that is just there for game data and is required for your game to run

ive tried to download nraas mode on multiple occasions, but whenever i boot up the game it always crashes at the loading screen, I have no idea what to do loo

Are you downloading the right versions? If you're using ea app than get the latest ones and if not than get the version lower

All of my downloads show in the launcher, but when I run the game, none of the custom content is available in build mode 😢 (furnishings and such)

I'm sorry to hear about this Chase! That must suck, does it show up correctly in the installed content? Also make sure you're running your game with the custom content tick on in the launcher! Usually i do prefer to have my custom content as package files

Will deleting the featured items delete items from there I actually have in the game? There's a few that I own on the game.

Deleting the featured items photos are crucial! I have my featured items folder disabled, it's unnecessary data that slows down the Sims 3 so much.

When trying to load my cc into the launcher, I double click like you said except it will not appear in the launcher under downloads. My PC just asks which app I want to open the cc in, but sims isnt an option. Can someone help me with this?

Try opening sims 3 launcher first and than click on the actual cc sims3pack

I have a question like I downloads all store items I buy for sims 3 I install them in my game but when I start playing the game it doesn't pop up. Do you have any advice?

Sims 3 store items if installed from the Sims 3 store go directly into your downloads than from there you install it into your game. Make sure you're deleting the item in downloads and also deleting all the Cache files in your Sims 3 folder before opening up the game. So try reinstalling the store content and follow along with what i said. Good luck! :))

If the cc is a package file they're not suppose to be double clicked, those just go straight into your sims 3 mods and packages file
