Sims 3 how to make your game run faster and smoother / Reduce Lag
Files not showing up in your delphy cc cleaner: all you have to do is right click in the body of the application, click export and then choose the file location where you have your CC. :) xx

After a couple of years of disappointment with Sims 4 I finally just reinstalled Sims 3 and was promptly reminded how laggy the gameplay was but these fixes made a huge difference- thank you so much!!! I enjoyed multiple hours of gameplay hahaha (something that can rarely be said for Sims 4)

For everyone struggling with the sims 3 dashboard you need to click file on the left hand corner and click what folder you want it to go through in this case click your mods folder.

Sounds very helpful! I’ve been trying to get back into the sims 4 lately cause I’ve been overworking my sims 3 too much but I had no idea how to make it run smoother! And my computer is MORE than capable of running it because it runs just the sims 4 just fine even with OP graphic settings. You can't. You are supposed to have Sims 3 on PC or laptop. Otherwise if its laggy on your android or apple you probably have to delete some photos and/or apps to get some more space.

@@violetsdiary__ Nope, sorry if your laptop or computer only has Intel HD Graphics that means that its only good for work instead of gaming. With Intel HD Graphics there isn't much you can do. If you plan on buying a new laptop or computer and want to run games better, you should find something with an Intel HD Graphics card and, NVIDIA.

The very first thing she does is a bad idea. Do not just outright delete all your custom content files. Always back up your files first. (Save them on a USB drive or something similar.) You never know when you might be needing those files again. THEN you can safely delete the files from the launcher.

To anyone reading this in the future, use the sims 3 dashboard BEFORE you delete the files from the launcher! Deleting them from the launcher only leaves bin files, which the sims 3 dashboard doesn't meticulously go through as it would separate sims3 files.

Just fyi you can re route the dashboard to the folder at which you leave your files in. 🤗🤗 super easy and simple.

Yes. Mine where also .package files. Cached data in the EA folder is .package, though in the video, her setup is different where you can see the file format on the right-hand side, saying PACKAG- 2:18 I deleted these files, and my game is working great. Hope this helps :)

Ok. you must not have saved your cc within the mods folder. the only way to get cc back is to look into your recycle bin. I would suggest downloading the mods folder and putting it in there. however if you have deleted your files without following the steps your chances of getting the cc back with out downloading it again is low. you have to follow all the steps. :( check your recycle bin!

I have a question and im just seeing this now, but i have the kind of glitch for babies where they become an ungodly mess and i was trying to read up old articles back in 2013 on how to fix them and mentioning something about deleting some of the DCBackup stuff not all of them but just some that are affecting the game? i was wondering if that still works today if i still have the glitch by deleting all of the DCBackup files except that one file ? i dont want to risk of breaking my game cause i have a old windows 7, thanks.

CAS will always be a little slow depending on your level of cc versus your computer specs for instance I use a TB secondary drive and it still runs a little slow

I have AMD Radeon graphics and I don't have a lot of the setting options you did. I don't have and I also don't have anything in my downloads. And yet my game, mostly just build/buy, mode is sooooo laggy. Also I have Delphy's custard so do I also have to downlaod the dashboard? I find custard annoying b/c you can\ only check one CC at a time, so when I go on CC binges and download like 200 things at one time I just end up spot checking things. Should I get rid of Delphy and use the Dashboard instead?

Hi, i can’t open the sims3dashboard as the file can’t be opened in the correct program. It says that it must be opened as adobe reader or other kinds of programs. So it doesn’t show the same window for me as for you. How can I solve this?

I think I solved the problem, but along the way I think I’ve done something wrong. Cuz the game still lags.. the loading screen on the other hand is smoother. But not sure what to do now with the lag though :(

I followed all the instructions in this video. Then tried to run my game. The loading screen was back with a purple stripe across the bottom. Then went to where I load saved game and the application crashed. I think I'll have to reinstall everything now.

Went back to sims 3 and the only issue I have with Sims 3 is the bad long term health on a game causing it to slow down. Sims 4 is...meh. I liked the nectar making too much in Sims 3

I don’t see any package flies in sims 3 dashboard i saw the description and I don’t really get what u mean by clicking the “body of the application”.

I've pressed select all and clicked delete on *Downloads* but it won't delete anything.

ITenanyeI Niamh ikr i thought i only had like maybe 10 of those in my file when i was deleting my bad cc.when i was searching it seemed that there wasn't alot but i was terribly wrong lol

IAmEverything indeed. when I did my first clean out I found sims 2 files. the level of shock haha I was like no wonder I was having game issues haha

ya now i never EVER download anything from the exchange because of the bad cc problem. i actually still have that vampire bad cc that came with this sim that i didnt download that came with alot of glitches that i can't delete and its so annoying and its still in my game now

IAmEverything oh God. that is terrible. I stopped downloading from the exchange in sims 2 and never went back. I had that stretched sim glitch.

Idk why but my game keeps on freezing on the loading screen when i choose a household now 😩
