Sims 3 Tutorial: 3D Skin Editing

Hey hi helloo. So thank you for the tutorial I do have a question tho Im using photoshop 2020 and when i try to replace the texture for my model i keep getting a message saying could not complete your request because it is not the right type of document. I looked around online and i cant seem to find any thing about photoshop 2020 having an extended version. I know your using cs 6 but any advice you have would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds more like you don't gave the dds plug in installed? If you check sims3tutorialhub, and type in dds into the search bar there is a tutorial which also links the files, or if you have a real version of Photoshop check the resource page it links to the tool!

I downloaded blender and got the . obj files but when I try to open them in Photoshop cs6 it says "could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document."

You need CS6 extended!

could you make a tutorial using gimp in the future? because it would help me a lot, for i cant afford adobe photoshop and a lot of other sims also cant afford, so we kinda prefer gimp ;-; thx

Hi! I don't use GIMP and would have to learn it myself first, so this is probably not going to happen :/ A lot of simmers have found alternative ways to get PS if they cannot afford it though.

For add picture to face or body file from the internet do I have to reduce the opacity to make it look more realistic and fit the face more on the skin like if you were to skin blend regularly so it want look weird in game

How you do it is up to you. If you make it match the color well and the shape well, then you do not need to reduce opacity. I would use a sort eraser to blend the edges in.

i keep getting this error when I try to save it as dds. "Can't convert to DDS file because width and height are not multiples of four"

AGTvSeries the file you save must be 1024x1024 or 2048x2048 pixels in size. That error comes up when it is not 😊
