My France quest-line got messed up on the exact same quest. Took me so long to solve it, but what I did was to shift-click on the actual keystone (in the lock) that's shining when you start the Chateau Crawl quest, and just delete it. Then I was able to insert the new keystone and get the papers and finish the quest. Hope that helps if anyone else gets stuck there!

I love that Semaj keeps using romance actions and wonders why he isn't friendly with them. Romance doesn't mean friendly. Kinda the same way in Sims 4 you can be full romance and no friendship bar.

I think the confusion comes from the Sims 3 having 1 bar for relationships. It’s kinda funny: Sims 1 had separate bars(I’m pretty sure), Sims 2 had separate bars, Sims 3 doesn’t (presumably because of with the open world, it’s constantly loading sims so the less it needs to load the better)

@@voguishthrone5887 I can’t comment on the sims 1 but the sims 2 had two separate bars for short term relationship and long term relationships, not for friendly and romance. Friendly and romantic relationships are separated by different ‘tags’, such as ‘friend’, ‘BFF’, or ‘crush’. This system also meant you could argue without becoming mortal enemies, have one sided crushes, or have an old friend who you’ve drifted apart from over time. So whilst there is two bars, the differentiation of romantic or friendly isn’t determined by those bars really.

I know this is old but for anyone wondering I THINK for summoning a mummy you put the canopic jars into the sarcophagus by dragging and dropping from the inventory and then you summon but I haven’t done it in years lol

You also need to make sure you only have ONE of EACH version of the jars Because the interaction will just pull the five first in a stack and of there are duplicates it will not work.

Ps, I don't know if you are aware but turning off the spawning of wild horses in your world, reduces a lot of lag issues. Apparently, the wild horses get stuck with routing issues quite often. Also, for the Butler, I don't know if you did it but you have to select the bed intended for her and set it as her bed.

Hey James, not sure if you've figured it out, but you can delete the keystone from the lock, but you have to be extremely careful to not to delete the lock itself. That will allow you to put the "new" keystone and proceed with the quest. Hope you will finish the series, Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones ❤

I know this was ages ago but the 150 hours in zeneport makes it so you can “tranquil transference” as long as you have the zen moodlet from meditating, so you could meditate for less and get the 15m moodlet and then teleport or you can meditate to the 4h and teleport as much as you want as long as the moodlet lasts

Also on gardening: you can get skill from a channel on tv, you can plant trees inside on the back to the future grass rugs, fertiliser gives you higher quality produce which you then plant to get better plants (for fairies and green thumb sims the plant is boosted an extra level eg a normal lettuce will be a very nice lettuce plant), the opportunities are absolutely worth doing if you get them, you can plant some fun stuff! Fairies can also bloom plants to grow it one stage and can do that as many times as you want as long as you have magic left. Also if you have the store items theres an item that auto waters the plants every morning and you can put fertiliser into to fertilise them all at once - much faster! And the plants vs zombies sunflower makes the best fertiliser in the game

And in terms of tombs theres a few in france and egypt that dont have quests tied to them. For france theres two at the back of the celtic ruins where you have your first quest and one near the graveyard around some pangu boulders. I think all of the china ones have quests from memory

Tip: if your sim goes onto the lot for the empty houses, you can click on a window to look through it and it should show you the interior of the house :)
