I now have a slave chef in the basement (don't judge me) cooking meals endlessly for the family. They don't suspect a thing. They just have a magic fridge that is somehow full of food all the time!! "I wish I could make one-way doors" - I know that I'm four years late, but I've recently discovered a limited way to do this. If you use the gendered bathroom doors, the gender markers only exist on one side. As such, any Sims can enter through the unmarked side, but only Sims of the approved gender (i.e male if the sign on the door is male) can leave back through it. I found it out by accident when I was messing with one of the public buildings in the Sims, and suddenly there were like 20 sims trapped in the bathroom because I'd accidentally placed the door backwards, so that the gender marker was on the inside.
