That'd be amazing, but the reason all non plus size runway models are the same size and required to be tall is because they all need to fit into the sample size. Sucks but it's true maybe one day they'll make their sample size to fit a few of their models and they won't need to be the same size
@HattySims4 жыл бұрын
@@ang9555 They need to change the sample size to average male/female measurements. They'd end up saving a load of money too, the amount of times people return clothes because they look different than they did on the models must be crazy
@ang95554 жыл бұрын
@@HattySims yes I agree but I think it's just easier for them still no excuse. I've heard behind stage they switch models around with other agents so it helps when their all the same size. But if they had average measurements and average sized models it'd work exactly the same

What I really like about Hatsy's storytellings, they're all unique and relatable and not your typical prodigy-girl that will rule the world story. I always feel comfortable when watching your videos, the main characters are all just your any average person with flaws, a really refreshing break from all those "born powerful and is the strongest one here" stories, I'm pointing at you Mulan(2020). It sometimes makes me sad that I'm not born pretty, yet your videos always tell me that despite the differences, we are all the same unique beings.

This story really touched me like no other. I was 9 when I started pageants and soon my cuteness was no longer a matte at 13. It was only about my body,body and most importantly body. After my last pageants of that year they set me on a super diet that wasn't fit for my body. I had always been a medium broad girl but they wanted more. I had low carbs only and no sugars and very low calories my limit was 800 to you that might seem like a lot but the average 14 year old should have 2,000 calories a day and 400 extra for 14 year old males. This lasted till I was 16 and I lost maybe 50 pounds and was super slim. on one occasion I passed out behind stage before my number was called. I was rushed to the hospital and stayed for a week till they could balance me with some med's. I took a break and gained back my lost weight. When I went back my pageant coach said if I didn't lose weight again she would force me tape worms. I refused and she never gave me worms. I won with the body I was given in 2017 and I have never been happier to be in my own skin with my tiger strips. This really made me feel like the voices of those forced to look one way was heard some how.

If I'm honest, in real life this would be a mixed bag; on the one hand, yes, models do suffer from extreme diets that are killer, but on the other, "600 Pound Life" is around for a reason: the biggest lady would be okay if she had muscle balancing the fat, that's something that existing plus size models *need* to have. From what I've read here and there, part of the issue can sometimes be tailors making the outfits for proportions that wouldn't exist in real life unless those unhealthy diets are taken: not condoning it, but it gives an idea. Another part could stem from the days when tight corsets were a thing: to accentuate the breast (and sometimes give a more petite figure), the waist was squeezed to ungodly small sizes: the nasty side effects were discovered - cancer, rearrangement of the organs, etc. - and the trend was discontinued en masse, but gauging by modern beauty standards, the discovery was too late, as we still haven't shaken the "wasp-waist" desire some have. Of course, I've seen enough art to know that that isn't the case always: there are those that are develop an appreciation for bigger sizes, and the art usually looks well done (in my opinion, at least). This isn't new either, back in ancient times before small waists were the desire, plenty of ancient art depicted big sizes as the ideal, and for good reason: it had associations with fertility, health, and times of plenty. It was also a good indicator of how rich you were: the chubbier, the better lifestyle you obviously lived, as food wasn't as plentiful as today. How easy it is to get fat might've also had something to do with it: nowadays, you're thin either because you've got good genes, or you have the moola to afford training and specialty diets. You're usually fat because you've got no time for exercise and the best you can get is unhealthy fast food. But a short PSA, love your body no matter what size, just make sure it's *your* HEALTHIEST size: AKA, a size where you can move and still live your life to its fullest. And P.S.: that "NO diversity" part was a little on the nose, don't you think?
@HattySims4 жыл бұрын
It was about the fashion industry and lack of size and height diversity, I’ve had to return so many clothes because they look different on somebody else’s frame without hips or that’s taller than me, I’ll end up buying a dress that is too long and looks much shorter on the model and the models are always the same height and size as each other. It’s hard to explain all that in an almost silent sims video but seeing the collection of different sizes walk down the catwalk was what I meant by that :) it’s not focused on weight, it’s about everyone deserving clothes that fit them no matter what the size
@kathryncampbell44324 жыл бұрын
@@HattySims The issue in finding fitting clothes, I can understand a little; I actually had to return and get a bigger size of a sweater I liked (sleeves were a little tight), but that I think has a mixed bag as well: a lot of clothes come from an assembly line, they can't account for every person's measurement, so they try to make it as close to "universal" as they possibly can. Thing is, not even clothes measurements in sizes can be predicted and accounted for: quick note, if you find yourself uncomfortable with topics on feminine hygiene (whoever comes across this post), you can skip now. I thought I knew what my *exact* bra size was recently (DD48) until someone got me bras that were made by a different company (size said D45): they not only fit perfectly, but were also less itchy. It goes to show that clothes shopping is very trial and error, and sometimes just appraisal work (I managed to get a friend of mine a cute outfit once because I figured it'd look rather nice on her, and it did XD). Size comparison is even a problem within brand. Also, doesn't Sims 4 have a cheat that allows you to stretch the skeleton, or did EA do away with that, too? >:[ Also also, short PSA on clothes shopping: don't buy online, otherwise you might as well look for a Goodwill/Salvation Army the day you order it. That's what my mom and I figured was happening when we saw clothes that were practically brand new, fitting, and looked very, very nice; people bought online, found it wasn't fitting size, then tossed it into the give-away bin.
