SCS Truck Sims have plenty of configuration option not available through the game menu but through sii file/console. You can check that, there may be indicator cancellation there. But given the way games are set up, I think locking stalks are just bad idea for game controller. Plenty of cars have stalks that do not lock or lock only in few occasions. For example in most cars you can slightly bump indicator stalk to give 3-5 indicator signals. In good old Vectra C, to enable indicator semi-permanently, you just push a little deeper but it also doesn't lock, it just returns to neutral position and to cancel signal, you simply have to bump the stalk in the same direction or straighten the wheel if you were turning. I believe a lot more cars are like that. So for a game it would be completely fine to skip the locking of the stalks. Just use the encoders instead of x-position switches for wipers, not locking indicator stalk and all would be good. I do not see a reason to make manufacturers life more difficult while also compromising the experience in a lot of games for 'more realistic' option, which in reality differs between the cars anyway.
@SimulatorAdventures3 ай бұрын
Very good points. Personally if we're going for realism the indicators locking in place is the best option, but it creates difficulties in the short term because no game really works like that. OMSI 2, despite it's age, proves that this system could work perfectly if they added a cancel indicator function.
@RoadRunner2173 ай бұрын
I'm 100% with you here. I think the locking is absolutely neat, but it would have been better (possibly more expensive and a little more complex) to make it optional via some switch on the back. I didn't understand why everyone was so excited for the self-locking and resetting function. I *knew* there were going to be issues like these. The games we have are super immersive and have had a lot of care put into them, but there are limits. And even as you said, even in real life there are situations, and we see it all the time, where people drive around with their indicators on for miles because they only turned the wheel softly in a long turn and forgot that it doesn't reset. On top of that, not every car maker uses the self lock signals. All those things aside, I can't wait for my stalks to arrive!

so glad you mentioned beamNG, no other review has talked about that. how does the moza system compare to hori truck control system for beamNG?
@SimulatorAdventuresАй бұрын
I haven't used the HORI so I can't truthfully give a review of it. However, the Hori wheel has very basic force feedback which is many years behind Moza direct drive or any other direct drive wheel. The pedals are also incredibly cheaply made even compared to old Logitech pedals. I've heard the pedals compared to a child's toy. The Hori does have a lot of buttons and some good indicator stalks, but MOZA is almost certainly lightyears ahead in terms of quality. Getting the MOZA stalks to work in games like BeamNG does take a bit of extra modding and setup (that's an issue with BeamNG not the stalks) but I have a tutorial here on the channel for it!
@HaydenCMH3 ай бұрын
Damn, the shaft extension on the base really makes this quite a large apparatus. For those of us who use the wheels in a more vertical (truck/bus) position, we will have to choose between realistic wheel height and capping our knees on the base, or having the wheel pretty high. Hopefully that makes sense... my knees already rub against the base, but the stalks do seem awesome!

@SimulatorAdventuresАй бұрын
That's a completely different thing. The wheels auto cancelling is a physical thing while the auto cancel in game depends on the wheel being straight in game. You cannot MANUALLY cancel the indicators with the MOZA stalks. If you try to put it in the centre the indicators stay on, and you can only get them to cancel by returning the wheel to the centre in game. What is the distance between the Moza base and the Indication Stalker (3:05)?
@SimulatorAdventures2 ай бұрын
They are pressed closely together because of the extension rod. There's only a small space between them, not enough to fit your fingers inside
@pekalongan19782 ай бұрын
@@SimulatorAdventures Sorry, admend the time capture, above it looks the space between the base and the Stalker looks around 3 cm? (Length of the double screws)

does it work with a PXN? thats what i have my model is a V3PRO
@SimulatorAdventures3 ай бұрын
You need a direct drive base with the ability to detach rims

I'm curious as to the brackets.... one for the OSW20/simucube stuff? Thanks for an awsome review, been ogling these for quite a while now... been looking for years for something this effective.

My question is, do I need to buy extension for the stalk to be able to work with my R9 v2?
@SimulatorAdventures3 ай бұрын
The extension is included with the stalks. It comes in the box and will work perfectly with the R9 V2. That's what I'm using

Hi Good but Need another handle for retarder in version 2.
@TopiasSalakka3 ай бұрын
You could use the wiper stalk for that.
@Mostafa-vs8bd3 ай бұрын
@@TopiasSalakkayes but wipers need handle for itself. Or you can make from real truck yourself . If they want to make a device make it perfect and for this price
@TopiasSalakka3 ай бұрын
@@Mostafa-vs8bd Could rebind the wipers to the left stalk, like on a Mercedes or Scania truck.

Can you use the stalk without the trucking wheel?
@SimulatorAdventures3 ай бұрын
I thought that was made clear in the video, but yes you can.
