To the guy in the middle... I relate to you, I have a very abusive parent...but remember that Christ said "blessed are the meek for they will inherit the Kingdom of God"... be glad that your cross is heavy, be glad that your cross is heavy, how else are we going to repent for our sins if there are no tears??? We carry our cross with joy, we forgive and we pray for our enemies, we thank God for the abuse that we suffer because this is the path of humility and repentance. May Christ Almighty Bless you and your loved ones 🙏 ❤

Question: totally agree that we are not our sins and should not let them define us. But isn't it also true that our actions witness to who we are internally? "From the fullness of the heart, the mouth speaks," (Luke 6:45), and St. John Paul II reminds us in the Acting Person that our actions flow from the inner man. So yes, we need to be very careful not to let the Accuser run us down and make us think we are irredeemable, but if I'm someone who consistently lies, or sleeps around all the time, then on some level isn't it true that I am a liar or an adulterer?
